I retained The Marshall Group 100 as a Marketing Consultant and to raise capital for my business.  During the course of my business relationship, Mr. Marshall failed to meet the contracted terms stated in the Engagement Letter.  Mr. Marshall also developed a "Founders Program" in which several personal friends and family gave money to help fund my business venture.  Mr. Marshall collected $5,220 in exchange for Founder's positions.  He did not ever give any of the investors and paperwork or contracts and out of that money I was only given one payment of $1,529.  In addition now I have to cover this program which I never authorized to begin with.

This company is only looking to make a quick buck!  There is no actual service provided and they will use every trick in the book to scam small business owners looking for guidance.

The Marshall Group 100 - Rebuttal

AUTHOR: The Marshall Group 100 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, January 09, 2012

It is true, that on February 16, 2011, our company entered into several agreements with Max Woodford aka LifeConnect. Our normal retainer is $25,000. In this clients case we thought we could pay expenses and do the job for $5,000 plus any sales revenue generated. We had 3 staff members working on his project for over 4 months. They worked with his staff at conducting weekly sales meetings, provided sales training, attended social events at his home and in general tried to turn the company around. I have been a business consultant for over 50 years, and in that time I have had my share of successes and failures. I'm not proud of the fact that we could not make his project a success. This reflects on me and my staff. Due to the lack of operating capital, we were not able to complete all of tasks that were asked of us. I on behalf of our company truly apoligize for any hurt feelings and poor comunications. If given a second chance, I stand ready to work with Mr. Woodford to help build his sales force. I'm willing to bare what ever costs that are necessary to help him produce sales. I hope he will allow us to communicate with each other so that this matter is resolved in a fair and equitable manner.
