I purchased this warranty the same day I bought a car from the dealership in December 2014. In April while driving on the highway 2 miles from the dealership my car overheated without warning from the gauges. We pulled over in an empty car lot looked under the hood and the ground no fluid on the ground no smoke coming from the hood. Called the dealer to let them know what happen it since they were 2 miles away, they informed us to put water into it and see if we can drive it to them because they didn't offer towing. So we put water into the car, needless to say it didn't work. The car refuse to start so we had to get it towed through my insurance company to the dealership. This took place on a Friday evening, so on Monday the service dept of the dealership called me to let me know that the heater hose came loose while driving and that's why it overheated without warning and it appeared to have small little tears in them from normal wear and tear. I informed him that I just bought the car and I had the dealer serviced it before driving it off the lot. I asked why didn't they caught that then when they performed the oil change. He informed me that it probably was so small then you really couldn't see it with the name eye. I said OK well I do have a service warranty through The Mechanic Warranty Group. He called them to inform them of the problem and that's when  it all went wrong. Now mind you I haven't driven the car over a 1,000 miles yet just locally. The car was not due for service for another 3,000 miles, they told the dealer that they did not cover hoses because that is part of the regular maintenance, and the heater hoses may have been the contributing factor. Needless to say we paid out of pocket after going back in forth. The dealership replaced the hoses and took the car on a test drive after testing driving the vehicle the called us up and said, they do apologize when the car was towed in they assumed that the car overheated because the heater hose were disconnected. Upon further inspection they noticed the oil and coolant was leaking from inside the engine around the head gasket not the hoses. So they got back in contact with the warranty company who still refuses to service the cars engine even after they found out that it was not coming from the hoses but the head gasket inside the engine. Needless to say my car is still at the dealership after 4 months as I consult with attorneys to take this case to court.
