I have made innumerable attempts to cancel my subscription to Motley fool. However, I have been unable to reach a customer service representative to cancel my subscription despite multiple phone calls and emails with no return response. .Motley Fool makes it impossible for you to reach a human being to cancel your subscription so that they may continue to bill you for services you no longer want.

I get what you're saying but....

I too made a less than optimal purchase with The Motley Fool. My fault,  not theirs. I accept responsibility for the fact that I fancied myself quite the trader, when in reality I only wanted the penny stocks that make millions, or the dollar stocks that make exponentially more money.

I too had a hard time getting ahold of customer service. I'm on the West coast, they're on the East and are manned 9-5 M-F which means by 2:00 pm my time they're gone.

However, I sent an email to them, and I had even used the service in a more of a demonstration type mode, but nonetheless the argument could have been made that I used the service. It was 8 days on the outside of their 30 day guarantee and they honored my claim.

The coolest thing about this was I wrote them a Dear Whomever letter and the next day received a response that said my account was cancelled and they were refunding my money. It was almost perfect, but not until I got the credit on my Amex bill, which I did two weeks later.

I could not ask for better customer service. You think when you write to a blanket email that you'll get no response, the fact that I received a response and  that the response was right and I ended up being credited, I think says a lot for their customer service.

The flipside of that is, it is, it disappoints me that customer service is so marginal every where else that what they did is considered above and beyond. But these days  I do consider it above and beyond to do the right thing.  So yes I'm about a year too late to respond, but when I was so happy with what happened, I decided to looke at The Ripoff Report and see what people were saying.

I can happily say, The Motley Fool did a really good job for me and I appreciate them
