The Nursery Ripoff Company Unprofessional Poor Service Bad Product Dishonest Ty Georgia

I'm still mad about this company and it's customer service as well as the owner, even after 2 years. In the spring of 2002 I ordered several varieties of trees. A Sugar Maple, Dogwoods, Red Maple and some various " specialty " trees. My package arrived several weeks later and was being held at the post office. When I picked up my package I told the postal clerk that it contained 9 trees.

He laughed and said, not in this package buddy. I said yeah, scares me a little too. I took them home and opened the box ( box was approximately 6" x 6" x 36" ). There were my future shade trees and exotic trees that would make me the awe of the neighborhood. But all I found were sticks with a ball of plastic wrapped around the bottom of them and some sort of blue goo that I guess is suppose to hold in moisture.

My total order was around $89.00. I showed these to my wife and she laughed and said the money was coming out of my future allowance. Knowing that TY Nursery ( then called The Nursery )had a GUARANTEE on all items, I called them up. A very rude man in customer service
asked me what was wrong with them. I said they were just a bunch of sticks, dried out, poorly packaged, crooked trunks on ALL of them and looked like they were just snapped off a bigger tree ( tiny branches ).

He asked what I wanted to do about the situation. I said I wanted my $ back. He said I would have to talk to Rick but he wasn't in today. I called back 4 times b4 I finally got hold of Rick ( service mgr. ? owner ? ). He told me he would replace them if I sent them back and if he agreed they are defective. I said I don't want any replacements if this is their so called quality trees, I want my $ back.

He said ship them back and carefully package them and he will make a decision then. I sent them back. No response for 2 weeks. I called Rick and he said they did not get them back. So I tracked them from my UPS tracking # and gave it to him and told him who had signed for them. He said he didn't know who this person was. OH HOW CONVENIENT !!! Said he could replace them but he doesn't have the returned items. That was it.....end of story. I lost my money, paid shipping costs both ways and didn't have the product either.

What a very clever racket they have going. I'd love to hear from who else had similar bad experiences with this RIPOFF company and how they were treated. I chalked it up to experience and said I'd never order from a mail house nursery again. Now I read that MANY others have been screwed by this nursery and they are still in business. Something has to be done with them.

However, I couldn't help myself and ordered $119.00 worth of bushes, grape vines, bluberry bushes, Hydrangea's from a nursery in Tennessee ( Greenwood Nursery ) and was 100 % satisfied with the condition and packaging and professionalism of this nursery. So , I guess it's true that 1 bad apple doesn't spoil the whole bunch. Please check this place out if anyone has become gun-shy after dealing with THE NURSERY in Ty Ty, Georgia.
