The Pesky Pelicans, Lexi Morgan This is a scam, wasted our vacation time! Clearwater Beach Florida

Purchased a Groupon for a sunset photo shoot while we were on vacation, made an appointment with Lexi who asked me to email her beach photos that I liked so she knew what style we were after. It seemed legit.

She asked us to meet her at the local pier, which was a little bit of a walk for us, but I had never been to the area, so it was fine.

We planned an entire vacation day around this, making sure the kids were fed, getting my husband, kids and myself ready. Not to mention all the preparation ahead of time coordinating outfits and looking up the photos to send her.

We waited right where she said and she never showed up, she didn't answer any calls, texts or emails.

To top it off (not that this was her fault) as we walked back to our hotel an hour after we were supposed to meet her, gang violence broke out and three people were shot. Luckily we made it back to our hotel safely, but my kids were traumatized.

Once back at the hotel, i commented on her Facebook page about my disappointment and she quickly responded saying the triple shooting was extenuating circumstances. I commented back saying that it was a nice try, but that it didn't happen until an hour AFTER we were supposed to meet - I would know, we were there when it happened! Instead of ever replying, she just deleted all of the comments and I have still never gotten any other reply from her.

We would have been more than willing to reschedule or meet somewhere else. Found out later that we weren't the only ones she scammed. Unfortunate that Groupon doesn't have a better screening process, even more unfortunate is that there are people like this in the world!
