The Puppy Shoppe They sold us a sick puppy, with colitis and even though we have the "unfit for sale" document they refuse to pay Edison New Jersey

Comments: We purchased a golden retriever puppy from the puppy shoppe in Edison NJ on 8/5/07. Within 2 days, she developed kennel cough which we treated by our own veterinarian. Within 4 weeks we had to take the
puppy back to the vet because she had constant diarrhea. She was treated with a diet of rice and chicken. After another 4 days it still had not
improved and she was put on additional medications and
de-wormed. After another 3 weeks, the situation still had not improved and the vet diagnosed our puppy as having colitis. We contacted the Puppy Shoppe and submitted all of our bills for payment. We also asked
for a refund as per the NJ puppy lemon law and provided all medical records, receipts for payment of medications and veterinary visits as well as a notice of unfit for sale by the veterinarian. I spoke with Barbara Dyeovich (store owner) who basically stated that her veterinarian refuted that colitis is genetic and that our claim was no
longer covered under the warranty. I have tried to resolve this amicably and was hoping that the Puppy Shoppe would honor its policy that if an unfit for sale letter was provided by a licensed veterinarian that she would abide by this policy. She was rude, abrasive and
hostile. I told her that I would hope to resolve this with her however, we would be willing to take legal action if necessary. She said that's fine "then
sue us".

Please, help us. We are a middle income family who wanted a pet that our family could enjoy. Due to the nature of her illness she must remain in a closed off portion of the house because she cannot control her bowels. This is not the kind of life that we want for the puppy and our kids are not able to enjoy her either. I really feel robbed not only monetarily but out
of the joy of being a new pet owner. Please, help us to resolve this.
