We purchased a puppy from ThePuppyStore.ORG in Tampa Florida. They told us we had to pay an additional $15 to register the dog with the "Certified Pure Puppy Database" (PurePuppy.ORG). A quick search on the owner of the PurePuppy.ORG domain revealed that it's owned by the same 2 young men who own ThePuppyStore.ORG where we bought the dog! What a SCAM! People are paying them an additional fee without even realizing it, believing all the while they had the ownership papers transferred by some official organization. If that were not the case, then why didn't the owners admit to this fact ... and why doesn't either of their websites discuss this fact? They hide the truth to scam YOU the buyer out of more cash.

#1 REBUTTAL Owner of company
America's Pet Registration Database
AUTHOR: Phillip - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Saturday, April 08, 2006
We are the owners of the Certified Pure Puppy Database.
Questions@purepuppy.org
Does this bother anyone other than Paul? Do we, the owners of The Puppy Store not deserve the right to own, operate and invite people into our kennel club? Yes, this is true, we own the entity known as The Puppy Store in Tampa Florida as well as the registration company Certified Pure Puppy.
I am missing your point Paul! What do you mean, "this is a scam"? Were you charged for the application? Did we force you to fill it out in order to purchase the puppy? What do you mean "we didn't admit to this"? Do we have a moral or legal obligation to inform you as a customer of The Puppy Store as to who are the owners of the kennel club that we are inviting you into?
What if it was a CKC or an AKC application, would you still be upset if the application didn't say the owners of the club's name on it?
You shouldn't have a problem with us offering you a Certified Pure Puppy kennel club application. We are America's newest and rapidly growing pet registration database and there is nothing scamish about that. I think most will agree.
A "scam" takes money from people through means of fraud or without their knowlege. We hand out APPLICATIONS. At that point it is up to you to decide if you want to become a part of our club. Sure there is a $15 fee and that's less expensive than most kennel clubs if I might add.
Am I understanding your complaint correctly? Are you upset because we own the company or because you didn't ask who owns the company?
