The Refinishing Touch Vague Cold Calling and Rude Alpharetta Georgia

My company was contacted by a staff member from TheRefinishingTouch.   When they called, I was on the phone given 100% attention to another customer and could not answer their call immediately.  Our other lines were tied up too.  They did not leave a message or called back.

I promptly returned the call from the caller ID.  I introduced myself and asked if someone was trying to reach my company (ex: existing customer, etc.).  The office staff did not say anymore than just "Hold" and patched me into a voicemail.

I called back and asked more direct questions.  They responded "We are not interested since you did not pick up the phone initially.  You [my company] must not be interested in our $150K project.  Our boss is picky!"  I responded by saying "we would probably would not work for this type of personality anyway..."

Well, obviously, I was shocked.  I have never been approached by anyone who wanted services with such a vague technique...then 'slap the hands' for such unfounded accusations.

I received a 'ripoff' report and our SEO followed-up with me on the same report.  I called thefinishingtouch again and asked to speak to the owner/president/whoever can speak to me amically about this situatiion.  It's been over 48 hours and no response from anyone.

The odd thing is that 'refinishingtouch' is in the furniture industry and we are in the pool industry. The cold caller did not describe their needs nor explain the purpose of their call.  Does the owner want a pool for their home?  Is refinishingtouch now building pools? or was it a mis-call by their office staff? We may never know...

Therefore, I believe refinishing touch deserves their own ripoff report - inkind.

As with all small business owners, we try to respond promptly to all calls (good or bad).  It's sad to see how companies can grow too big to fast and forget how to treat people as individuals...be a customer or potential vendor - we should all be treated with respect.
