The Ruff Times right to cancel ripoff Orem Utah

I listened to a radio program featuring Howard Ruff. Once known for his success in predicting the price of gold to increase dramatically and it did. He stated that he had a website and gave financial advice on many topics. I only called in because he promised to give a refund, no questions asked, if you weren't pleased with the service. I was able to contact a representative by phone, and I made my request for a money-back refund. I didn't like the format of the newsletter and I didn't find the subjects he commented on to be of interest to me. I was told that I would receive my refund in 7-10 days.

After waiting for that period I called again and this time no one answered the telephone. I e-mailed the company several times and received no reply. I called again and pretended to want information on how I could join his marketing company.

As of today's date, 01/06/2005 I have been unable to contact the office and the fax number doesn't seem to work either. My first call I made to make my request was on 09/28/2004.

I know Howard Ruff is a millionaire and I do believe he made his money by being honest, but the internet has probably given him the idea that it is easy for people like myself to just overlook refunds and not take the time to speak up about fraud, no matter who commits it, even Howard Ruff. Maybe he is not not fully responsible for this but he does have a name and reputation to protect. I don't know if this will help me get my money back, but it sure makes me feel better just knowing that there is a place to voice my concerns and hope that I can stop this from happening to someone else who thinks the "rich" won't rip them off.
