Ok heres the deal, I worked for Mark Kernan and Sports Plus for a little over 3 months. Honestly, its NOT a bad place to work. There are pros and cons to every business. Yes everything the previous posts have stated are true. Mark Kernan does speak extremely fast in the interview, the woman at the desk does make quite a few calls, the employees are paid in cash/commission only, it is long days/nights, and alot of the work done is outside, i used to compare it to the postal service, rain snow or shine! But honestly dont knock it till you try it. I can't say that there weren't tough times but there are alot of redeeming qualities about this business as well. For starters, if you are willing to work, and work hard, the opportunity for growth is incredible. And if sales/owning your own business is something you truly want to get in to there is no better boss than Mark Kernan. He knows the ins and outs of this business and does invest into his employees if they are willing to put in the time. The products the employees are selling are GOOD products. The Blues and Cardinals campaigns are top notch and because Sports Plus/Titan group have been working with these clients for many years most businesses are very receptive to you coming in. Finally, the other employees are great. I really enjoyed everyone that worked there. Everyone gets along and are willing to help out if you are having troubles with your sales pitches or just need a sounding board to vent to. Again I'm not saying this place does not require more time and effort than any other job I have had, I would work 7:30am-8:00pm everyday, there is much to learn from this position.

So i know you've gotta be wondering if I enjoyed it so much why am I not still there? Well unfortunately I was not making enough income to support my lifestyle, thus leading me to a new career path. Even when I quit the management training job Mr. Kernan wished me luck and offered himself as a reference for future positions. I maintain the utmost respect for him and the corporation he has built from the ground up.

I'm just saying, its not all rainbows and butterflies, if you're willing to work VERY hard and prepared to take somewhat of a temporary financial hit this job is an incredible opportunity.
