The Trading Boutique....BEWARE!  I responded to a Craigslist posting for a Jet Ski.  Seller (Mathew Colson, although surely a fake) responded with all the usual mumbo jumbo and sounded somewhat believeable.  Of course, the price was VERY good, but the first tip was the 'ol "i'm leaving town" trick.  I played along hoping to validate one way or another.  The Seller said had placed his jet ski with a consignment company, thetradingboutique.com (TTB), who would handle the entire transaction, including shipping.  Said TTB had the signed and notarized title, etc. etc.

I tried to validate the authenticity of TTB, The Trading Boutique.  At first blush, the website appears reasonable and robust.  Digging deeper, however, not so much.  First, could find NO reliable online reviews, although, there were some vague mentions on some websites, but those reviews even sounded fishy, and noticed a couple had the same wording and tone on different sites.  More importantly, there is no BBB accreditation, nor when I googled the physical address of the company, nothing came up.  Of course, they don't have a phone number.   Not much comes up googling the company itself.  I googled the executive staff as listed on the website and NOTHING comes up on any of these "industry leaders", LOL.   Searched this "company" on Ebay and Craigslist, and again nothing comes up.

The seller, of course, cannot call me (because he is hearing impaired.  Sure.. LOL)  And refused to consider any in person transaction.  Anyway, seems to be a typical scam one sees on Craigslist and Ebay, but this TTB website sure seems legit on the surface.  Buyers beware!
