Roger D. Manley has removed himself as the Owner. Good Riddance!!!!!!! He posted that He has received C&D's filed against the Website and the Forum. Our hard work has paid off. HA HA,  the end is near for the Trek Prop Zone!!! The insatiable infringement on the Star Trek property which Roger calls a hobby will soon close!!!! A warning goes out to the new owner Kevin, whose details we hope to have soon. The Trek Prop Zone continues to infringe on toy manufactures, introducing props etc. before and after introduction. ( Toys are copied in resin and sold )

It was inevitable that Roger D. Manley would give up the Trek Prop Zone. A thread on the Trek Prop Zone called The Rip-off Report post was started to discover the author of this complaint. This caused the many rebuttals we hoped for, bringing awareness to the complaint. Blame was put on Mr. White, Mr.Tessier, Mr. Long, Mr. Kling and Mr. Boyd. Whos Next?

Roger D. Manley does not know the author of this report and whoever he or his Trek Prop Zone wannabes has blamed is totally untrue. Provide the proof!

After Rogers photos got out online, members saw an obese guy telling them what to do. This started another complaint site. Roger was making enemies with his friends. His friends betrayed him, Wolves in the Fold. This caused renewed interest in our cause. Rogers eBay Member User ID History used to sell pirated Star Trek props ( all sales private )

It is sad that some member or members feel the need to create situations that neither benefit themselves or the Hobby in general, but that seems to be the case with regards to all of those nasty Complaint and Ripoff Threads that have circulating around the internet as of late. Lot's of people (Including Myself I'm ashamed to say) were tossing rocks and drawing conclusions based on the manipulation and misconceptions being tossed around by the actual persons who created them in the first place. I know for a fact at this date, Mr. Tessier was NOT the responsible party for these postings (Not a Single One I might add) but in fact a member right here under our noses. I deeply regret that we all fell victim to this scam and as I said, feel embarrassed by how easily all of us and I were to point fingers and make accusations. I personally feel that we ALL owe him a heartfelt apology. The member in question (Who's name is unimportant) has been sanctioned and banned from the board. I ask that there be no further postings regarding this subject, enough damage has been done to innocent parties already. Hopefully we can all learn from this and try and be a bit more perceptive if a situation like this reoccurs. I recall a day not too long ago when I treasured this hobby and could not wait to log in and join in the camaraderie with my fellow hobbyists, and now with having to deal with situations like this one, the truth be told, I cannot recall the last time I honestly felt that in my heart.

But alas, as with everything that is good with this hobby, there are the bad elements also. Most here do not know (I did not feel I needed to burden the membership here with this business) that I have fought off no less that 2 attempts from people in the hobby to have this board shutdown through a Series of C&D's filed against both the Website and this Forum. Both required me to Hire an Attorney and file responses in
order to keep it open. Both efforts to shut us down were unsuccessful as we know, but neither was without Costs both financially and emotionally. I know the responsible parties who called down the wrath on this board. However, who it was it really not important as is the fact that we were successful in fending off the attacks.

Fellow Members of the TPZ, A quietly uneventful change of ownership of the TrekPropZone occurred today. Roger has agreed to stay on as a Forum Advisor and can best explain in his own words why he was ready for the move. This is, essentially, a changing of the guard with the continued intent to nurture and protect this board and to maintain in as a premiere haven for prop enthusiasts.

Thanks Kevin. It was time. The road to here has been a winding one filled with twist and turns. The time has come to pass the torch to someone who has the same passion and love for the hobby I had some years back, however, in the last couple years that flame has been slowly extinguished by what I called the "Dark Side of the Hobby" and it got to the point where I did not enjoy it as I once did. Now is the time to step aside and let someone who I know will carry on the High Standards that this Board and it's members represent carry it to the next level, I know what was built here is in great hands now and I wish Him and the rest of you only the best. I ask that you support Kevin and the Staff here as you all have supported me over the past 4 years, I have made many great and wonderful friendships thought this outlet. I thank all of you for that. I will still be around (Although no where near as much) from time to time and available to Kevin and the rest of you if needed. Thanks for 4 wonderful years guys, and here's to the TPZ's Continued success...

Roger started to build a huge collection of Star Trek props claiming later he bought them at early Star Trek conventions. Five years later he is selling these at high prices on eBay.

Roger D. Manley may have liked Star Trek props but also knew the prop community's insatiable desire for them. The same year 2005 Roger opened The Trek Prop Zone that encouraged building unlicensed Star Trek props (models) and built a huge Star Trek unlicensed prop (model) collection.

On his "closed to the public" The Trek Prop Zone, Roger became a Star Trek self claimed expert on Star Trek props. The forum grew so large that many licensed Star Trek prop makers had to adhere to his way or no way.

The Trek Prop Zone has banned more Star Trek fans than any other forum. You have to be in the top group of cronies to remain and agree to all Roger D. Manley's childlike rules.

It is clear that his fans of unlicensed Star Trek props have defended him here accusing John Long, a Licensed Star Trek prop maker of wrong doing?

Steve Tessier has also been banned from several other boards recently after the revelations of his lies, theft and wrong doings against board members. He's more than willing to buy/trade infringing Trek items as long as he gets what he wants but if it's what he considers competition to his friends products or costs more than he's willing to pay he breaks into a tirade or creates fake accounts (as he's done here) to try to undermine the competition.

trek prop zone is not a great trek forum. it is full of politics and nasty bickering. at the beginning they posted it was a banned member, Cory White who created this report. he did rip off members. then it was posted it was Steve Tessier who was banned for not conforming to forum rules. another member Earnest Kline was said to really be Steve Tessier who was banned again. then John Long, a licenced prop maker was blamed. the trek prop zone is a forum full of banned members from other trek forums where trek props are traded. this report has opened a discussion for those who paid money to members of the trek prop zone and got ripped off. i didn't loose any money but came close. my opininion is that the forum has many big mouths who talk for nothing against everyone and members who offer items that you may never see. for a better forum go to (((Redacted))) a better place. gary

Per our TOS, we cannot reveal which two posts are legitimate nor can we remove any of the posts. The person posting is solely responsible for what they post and say.
Since the original poster appears to be talking to himself and answering back, please take that into consideration and weigh the merits of the posts accordingly.

I'm a member since 3 months on this forum, this report is true. The poster of this report has accuratly discribed the forum and its practice.

I lost about $450.00 from a seller on The Trek Prop Zone. The seller is banned but it didn't help me. The seller was allowed to post a reply in 15 days on a thread called "Houston we have a Problem". When I posted more than once the owner Roger Manley deleted it. I left the forum. On Friday the 19th, I called CBS Lawyer Mallory D. Levitt mentioned here and got this answer:

We are aware of this problem and and as part of our enforcement efforts, we are investigating the site and sales. We are not able to disclose the extent of our efforts to you as these are privileged legal matters. Thank you again for contacting our office.

The Trek Prop Zone is totally responsible for the $450.00. They say they are not responsible for transactions between vendors and buyers. I say, Bull give me the information you know and I'll fight myself.

So what's the purpose of The Trek Prop Zone? Vendors selling Unlicensed Star Trek goods, some ripping off people and banned? Sounds like the original post is true. Do you buy? If so, you are part of it! The TPZ is behind closed doors. I see ebay has one item now and then. What would happen if 500 items went up for sale?

Thank you for the information on The Trek prop Zone. Both sides have provided the proof required and the traffic needed to put this report at a higher level. Information was sent to Mallory D. Levitt as stated covering the daily operations of TPZ.

What am I not seeing here? The Trek Prop Zone has members who make Star Trek items, not all members produce but members buy them = Producing/Selling/Buying. You ban them if they don't deliver.The question is answered but of no consequence since you have turned the argument into revenge instead of it's intended purpose. That being that

As has been stated, Steve Tessier is the one who made this report. The info here is false, and he isn't even man enough to use his own identity. He instead is hiding behind someone elses screen name.
Steve Tessier was a member on The Trek Prop Zone, his name there was Questor. When some members disagreed with info he had posted he became abusive and was properly banned. He's been crying like a baby about it ever since.

It is true that some of the members are vendors. Some of them have ripped people off by taking money and not delivering goods, but they too were properly banned for their actions. The names listed in Steve's report are mostly just members of the forum. They are not all vendors, many are in fact victims of the banned con artists. I can't understand why Steve would mention these names in such a fashion, their
only crime is being members of a forum that Steve doesn't like. My TPZ screen name is on the list, as if I am a con artist vendor. I have never produced any items, and I have never sold anything on ebay.
Steve had no beef with me, and I had none with him. Until now.

Sooner or later I knew TPZ would get in deep crap over the Star Trek piracy thing. It started with a few parts, now it's full Star Trek kits, big money, idiots. I would not have known the post was here but TPZ posted it. Hello>e-mail>s****.> To The_kirk,

Who cares who posted the report. It's true, every single word. The Trek Prop Zone is a place to buy and sell Bootleg Star Trek props. Not one, but as many as you want. You can resell them on ebay or whatever. They got caught with their pants down.

It is closed to the general public for viewing. On other Star Trek forums you can read without being a member. What do TPZ have to hide? Star Trek Pirated Props of course! While Master Replicas, Roddenberry.com, other licensed dealers or toy makers try to sell their Props or Toys, these guys are claiming higher expertise and money is the game.

I lost money with The Trek Prop Zone and I'm glad someone finally reported them. They are an arrogant group. Not all members are con artists but rather victims. I'm a member of The Trek Prop Zone and live in the same state as the owner.

I was ripped off by a vendor on this site. The site says they are not responsible but they are because they encourage the members to build unlicensed Star Trek items.
