Just a warning to other tourists visiting Charleston, SC, ...avoid any contact with The Vacation Station at 229 Meeting St, or any of their other locations in Charleston.  The sales presentation is loaded with misrepresentations and false information, and the deceit with which the contract signing process was handled is shocking.

For those other victims out there, I would like to encourage you to file a complaint with the FTC, 1-877-382-4357, & at their website http://www.ftc.gov/.  Also, contact the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs at 1-803-734-4200, or toll free within SC at 1-800-922-1594.  Their e-mail address is SCDCA@DCA.STATE.SC.US. They have been getting complaints, and it is crucial for everyone to speak out regarding the egregious methods used by this company.

It is important for SC to tighten its consumer protection laws as Randy Gardner and The Vacation Station are using the "gray area"  in SC law which does not require a right of rescission for anyone making a purchase of a vacation plan on the premises of the business.  Any other location, such as a hotel conference room, and you are automatically protected.  It is ridiculous that a consumer can respond to a sales presentation and become a member for life with no chance to review information. Most consumers are not aware of this as it is so absurd, and The Vacation Station goes to great lengths to keep you from seeing the non-cancellation info using tactics such as hiding some of the papers containing the warning.

I'll submit more examples and information later.  My goal at the present is to warn others and encourage other victims to speak out against this injustice.  If enough people will take the time to come forward, class action lawsuits and other actions will become possibilities.

Just a reminder to the victimized..you are not the only one (as Gardner will try to tell you.)  He will also try to insult your intelligence.  Remember, these are two classic tactics of a scam artist.
