As an employee of this security company I have been asked or told to boot vehicles for things not mentioned in the rules of properties to be able to boot vehicles for. The operations manager also told property managers or had his salesmen tell property managers when initiatially acquiring a contract with a property, that Whitestone were liable to boot cars with expired tags because the operations manager says the agreement with the state of Florida requires him too. This is false meaning that Whitestone collects money for booting cars with expired tags under false and maliscious practices. I am being sued by Whitestone to try and get me to hush up and because I have documents proving wrongdoing. I have a list of properties and all vehicles booted for things not allowed to be booted for. I am using or trying to use the Florida Whistleblower Act to try and help me gain the time needed to process all official investigations as possible.
I have filed complaints with the division of licensing through the regional licensing office in Punta Gorda Florida and I have been told that the investigation has been passed on to the Department of Agriculture for possible criminal charges. I made 18k last year as a security guard for this company and I was only paid a straight time wage for all hours over 40 and when I found out that they were violating wage and hour laws I immediately quit and hired a lawyer. When the security company found out that I was entering into a law suit the ops manager tried getting my security license taken away for reasons not allowed by the division of licensing. I just want this company to not be able to coerce property managers into believing that the security company has the right, through and with the state, to boot vehicles with expired tags on private property. Also I really want this company to not be able to boot vehicles without going through property management first so that the security company is somewhat regulated atleast by the properties that they work for. I have absolutely no intentions on being maliscious at all. I only feel like I have kowledge that would help the citizens of Lee and Collier Counties and bring this, what I believe to be, unlawful business practices.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Ex Emplyee
AUTHOR: Kimberman - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Friday, November 26, 2010
i too am an ex-employee, I have to agree that i to was told to boot cars that were parked with expired tags on them, I was new to the company at the time so i did what i was told(Not knowing any better) Most everything that i did i ok'ed with a superviser, again because i was new.
When i started i was told that my pay rate was 12.25 H/R and when it came to payday it was 7.75 H/R then after speaking up about it, it was changed to 11.25H/R
I was also subjected to verbal abuse, name calling, demeanering at times,Was told on an everyday basis that i was my mother greatest mistake,my Mom should have ad an abortion, ( I bet your dad was wishing you were the one your mom swallowed), Now being that my mom has pasted it made for a very very uncomfortable work enviroment.
Never got lunchs, worked 10-16 hours shifts, was forced to work in a phycically unsafe working enviroment.( stand in the sun with no brakes) Covered other guards shifts when called and when i needed someone to cover me due to illness i was told if i want my job i better show up! i was threatened with my pay check( haveing it with held) forcing me to sign contracts against my will.
I was also forced to drive my vehicle to all of the posts i was assigned, Some being 15 minutes before the shift started and mileage time rangeing from cape coral to naples, some times driveing for over and hour and a half and i was never given any kind of reinbusment.
