I bought several online marketing programs from a company, a few months later I was contacted by The Coaching Department. They said they were calling from the company and asked how I was doing with the business. I responded that I had not made any money yet but would still try to make a succes of it. They offered to coach me and my husband through the programs. The cost was going to be $3600! I said we did not have that type of money, they responded that we would be helped to make so much money that we could pay the monthly payments from our reanings. The down payment was $399 with monthly payments from my credit card. I signed a contract with the understanding that we would be coached to use the Profit MultiplierX and Commission Autopilot programs we already had.
After three 20-minute session we were being coached on marketing on eBay and advised to check out drop shipping companies. We were getting dissatisfied at this point and decided to speak to our mentor about the programs we already had. On the 4th session we asked at what point would our coaching start addressing Profit Mulitplier. The coach told us that that was his last session with us and we would have to go to their website and follow the instructions from the webinars. He further told us that they did not work with any specific company but coached people who want to learn about internet marketing. He advised us to contact the company and make our complaint to them. I sent an email to Mr Sonnonberg outlining our dissatisfaction but never received a response from him. I have since stopped crdeit card payments until I can get a satisfactory recourse.
Today I was called by Monterey Financial trying to collect monthly payment. I was gived a phone number
for The Coaching Department but when I called I was told that someone would return my call tomorrow.

File a report with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection. Of all the State and Federal Agencies, they seem to have the most teeth.

Talk to your credit card company again as well and explain the whole situation, if you haven't already. And note the specific names and contact numbers on your bills. If you can't reach anyone at any of those phone numbers, let your credit card know that the company is fraudulent. (We ended up with one from AZ, that would just ring & ring and no one would ever answer, not even an answering machine. We couldn't even find an address for the company, let alone a BBB Review. So our credit card reversed the charges and put a fraud alert on that number!) Otherwise, your cc might do a temporary reversal of the charges, and then the company will have so many days to resubmit the charges. And they will!! Then it's up to your cc company to decide if they will continue to work with you or allow the charges to stand.
Remember that whatever you write, will be forwarded to the company for their rebuttal. So be as detailed as you can inc. names, dates, and phone numbers. And be prepared for them to come back at you with a full assault. If they've threaten or bullied you in any way, be sure to include that in your complaint with the Utah DCP and also file with the FTC. They're all TELEMARKETERS, and most of them won't back down or take NO for an answer. Some can become downright gonzillas. But the more complaints they receive, the better the chances that their KARMA will finally catch up with them.
