I took a piece of artwork with me to Thee Ink Well to see Brandis on a recommendation of a friend.  After Brandis attempted put a personal spin on the artwork, I requested that we stick to what I had brought with me.  I was also very specific as to what colors I wanted.  This was a back piece and unfortunately I was unable to keep an eye on what she was doing.  The resulting piece was terrible!!  Not only was the line work not smooth, but it was also uneven.  The entire piece was uneven and she didn't even finish the color work.

Because the lighting is poor in this shop and the mirror I was handed was so small I was unable to catch a majority of the mistakes at the time.  once the horror began to become noticable I went to two very reputable shops to get second opinions.  I was told by both that the work was apprentice quality at the most and the entire tattoo needed to be redone.  I returned to Thee Ink Well about a week later and spoke with both Brandis and the owner Paul Williams.  I requested my money returned as I was not about to let Brandis touch me again.

Paul admitted that the entire piece needed "reworked" he offered to do it at no additional charge but no refunds.  I ended up going elsewhere for several different reasons.  Brandis bragged about Paul teaching her everything she knows which was not comforting considering he allowed me to walk out the door knowing how shabby the piece was.  Once the level of trust regarding skill level was in question, I couldn't afford to give them another chance.  Original tattoo cost $175, to have it redone by a more reputable shop was $250.

Love my tattoo

AUTHOR: smittyje19 - ()

Brandis did a great job on my tattoo.  I explained what I wanted and she drew up a sketch. I had her change a couple things and then she showed me the sketch again. I approved it and she went to work. She did great. I love my tattoo and am going back for my second one in 2 weeks!! Many of my friends have received tattoos from her also and they love them!! No problems with lines or colors! Brandis explained that not everyone's skin accepts every color. She explained the white in my tattoo may not stay and said she would try to do it again if it came out or we could use a different color for the contrast. She was very accomodating!

I would just like to say that I have three beautiful tattoos from brandis. She does awesome work, and I wouldn't go any where else. I have a tattoo from two years ago and the colors are still bright as they were the day I got it! I'm a very happy customer!

tattoo redone

Note all the line work needed to be much thicker to cover up all of the blow outs.  The filigree is not as delicate as i wanted but necessary.  The color is now complete and more saturated.  It's been almost 2 years since this happened.  Perhaps the talent at this shop has improved.  I had every right to share my experience with anyone who would listen and still do.

I love thee ink well

I have 10 tattoos from the lovely artist whose name this vile woman is attempting to smear.  The staff is extremely professional and considerate. The facility is very clean and inviting.  I hope this woman realizes that dhe was conned, but I'm sure it was not from this shop. Any other business is going to tell you your work needs fixed so that they can acquire your business. Why not post a picture of the work before it was fixed? I have personally seen it and the piece was beautiful. I highly recommend Brandis and anyone seeking a tattoo should check out thee ink well.

defamation? hardly...

Blown out lines is poor workmanship plain and simple and difficult to "repair".  Not only did both owners stand there and agree with the bad quality, they pointed out mistakes that I wasn't even aware of.  Because of the severity of the errors, a refund should have been offered. I would have had respect for them as a business.  I have plenty of photos if anyone would like confirmation.

If a self proclaimed professional whether it be a mechanic, hair stylist or a tattoo artist does a bad job, the public has a right to know.

Defamation???  Hardly...

satisfied customer!!

I am a long time client of Thee Ink Well and feel the need to express my distaste of this report. The artists are very talented and unfortunately this is defamation due to one persons very confused opinion. There are copious clients that are repeat including myself and the work produced in that shop deffinatly reflects the great job they do.

They are very attentive to detail and the customers vision and ask repeatedly if the client agrees with the stencil before any work is done. I encourage anyone to come into the shop see the work, lighting, stations, etc for them selves. Talk to any one of the hundreds of satisfied clients and see the shop for the proffesional and upstanding business it is.

All I can say is you can't seem to please everyone and this seems to be the case since I am sure many other customers would agree with me that we are very pleased with the job Thee Ink Well artists do. Hundreds that's love it to the one that didn't. It is her right to go to another establishment if not completely happy, but does not give the right to run the business thru the mud over a difference of opinion!!
