I rented the home online from John Barreto who said he was the owner. I later found out he was a broker. Red Flag #1. I arrived and the home was a mess and had not been cleaned, I ended up cleaning the entire house. Red Flag #2. After we left Orlando (Emerald Island Resort) I emailed him asking when I would receive my deposit back I got this response:
I emailed again a few days later when I did not receive my money and got this response
This went on for several weeks, still no deposit was return. I filed dispute with paypal. Unfortunately paypal does not refund deposit disputes. Now he says because I filed dispute with paypal (after 3 weeks of chasing hime down) i have dis-credited his name with paypal and he is not refunding my money... he is areal peice of _ _ _ _!!!!!
So I am out of my money and onto filing a claim with police department and suing him as it is not about the money but about the principal and bring him to justice. It appears he has done this to many many people and has ripoff reports under other areas within this website as well.Any business you do with this person... you will most likely loose your deposit and or other money.
