Be warned, ThinkCredit.com and ThinkCreditReports.com are both scams.

On 9/5/12, I received an email directing me to a website, ThinkCredit.com, that would allow me to request all 3 major credit reports in one place for free.

The next page requested my credit card information in order to confirm identity only and that my credit card would not be charged. I entered the information and then I noticed that in order to request the reports, I would have to agree to the terms and conditions that included a membership of some sort, including having only 7 days to cancel the membership. This threw up red flags immediately so I backed out of the screen and closed my browser. I then tried to go back to the same website from the email I had received but got a message telling me that my offer had expired so I could not see the screen I had just previously visited.

I immediately receive a phone call from this company requesting that I confirm my membership. I did not and hung up immediately.

When the charges for $29.95 appeared on my bank account online a couple of days later, I tried to call the phone number, 800-237-1315 associated with the charge, but was immediately transferred to a repeating message with annoying music. No one ever answered the call, nor was I transferred to a customer service department to report this. I've made an attempt to contact this company three different times now and I even tried the other contact phone numbers I found online via Google search. ThinkCreditReports.com is apparently the same company and has the same answering message and same music with repeating message and the calls are never transferred to a  live person.

There are numerous reports that both of these companies did the same thing to other consumers. The message just keeps repeating over and over.

I have filed a dispute with my bank for these unauthorized fraudulent charges.
