I sent my daughter's stereo player to Thompson Product Exchange @ 11721B Alameda Ave, Socorro, TX 79927, in December 2007 via UPS. The UPS tracking reports shows the stereo was received 12/21/07, and signed for by Jimenez. The company never contacted us after they received the stereo.
In September of 2008, remembering we had never received the stereo, (we purchased a radio to use until the stereo was returned), I called to get an update. At that time (9/9/08), I spoke to Chris (at Alco Electronics New York office-no last name given)and was told to send a letter along with a copy of the UPS tracking report to supportid@aol.com., which I did. I was told that Alco Electronics had taken over RCA (thus I needed to send the report to them and not Thompson Exchange Center).
By November of 2008, we still had not heard back from Alco Electronics and on November 14, 2008, I called their customer service dept. and spoke with Jack (they never give last names). On November 10, 2008, I sent another e-mail to supportid@aol.com. On December 8, 2008, I sent yet another e-mail to supportid@aol.com. To this day no one has e-mailed us back or called us.
I have since spoken to our District Attorney who told me to report the companies to the Better Business Bureau in the state they are located. He also told me to report this to the store where I purchased the item, as the company may not want to continue doing business with these companies. Finally, he told me I could file a claim with Small Claims Court for a very nominal fee.
I plan to e-mail Alco Electronics again today and let them know I do plan to follow the legal advice I have received. I am fortunate that I was able to purchase another radio for my child (many people are unable to do this); however, it is not right for warranty company to receive items for repairs and never return the item or send money for the customer to replace the item. In may opinion that is stealing.

Thomson Product Exchange Center, Alco Electronics - PROBLEM RESOLVED!!
AUTHOR: Sandy - (U.S.A.)
SUBMITTED: Sunday, March 15, 2009
After posting the above report, I searched the internet for new/additional contact information for the companies listed. I called Alco Electronics USA number - 1-800-252-6123 and was connected to the office in Canada. I was given Thomson (not Thompson) Product Exchange's main office number - 1-866-465-7157. The representative I spoke to asked me to fax my infomation to him and he would forward it to his supervisor. The representative also told me that Audiovox Inc. was handling RCA's warranty repairs and that the e-mail I had previously been given (supportid@aol.com) was invalid.
When I called Thomson Product Exchange's main office I was told they did not handle stereos at that office and they gave me the following number to call: 1-800-433-7316. When I called the 1-800-433-7316 number, they referred me back to the main office number. At that time I told the individual (who was also in Canada) that the main office had just given me their number to call. This representative then told me that Thomson Product Exchange sold RCA in Jan. 2008, and that Audiovox contracted to do tech. support on some of the models. The representative then connected me to her supervisor's voice mail and I left a message (this was at 9:15 a.m.). At 10:10 a.m., this representative's supervisor phoned me back (apparently [I'm not sure]the supervisor for this representative and the supervisor for the Alco Electronic's representative are one and the same as they both had the same first name, both were in Canada, and when he called me back he told me he had the infomation I had sent the other representative that I spoke to at Alco Electronics - if he's not one and the same it was certainly a strange coincidence). The supervisor said that Thomson Product Exchange was sold in Jan. 2008. He aslo said the company would replace my daughter's stereo and that it should be shipped in a few days.
The same day, I contacted Socorro, Texas's County Planning and Zoning Dept. (915-872-8531) to ask about the business (Thomson Product Exchange). I also contacted the Elpaso County Sheriff's Dept. (915-764-3972)to see what could be done if I was unable to get the company to replace my daughter's stereo or compensate us for it. The detective I spoke to told me I would need to file a report at my local sheriff's dept. and they would send it to them. This detective also gave me Socorro's Police Dept. number (915-858-6983) as he thought the business was in the Police Jurisdiction (I told him the representative at the Planning and Zoning office thought it was outside the police jurisdiciton and in Elpaso County's area).
Fortunately, I did not have to call the Elpaso Sheriff's Dept. back, call the Socorro Police Dept., or the Texas BBB. Yesterday my husband found a package delivered to our home. The package was the promised replaced stereo. the information on the box was as follows: Venturer Customer Service - www.venturer.com and www.18002526123.com. The phone number was listed as 1-800-252-6123.
I have listed the numbers I received in hopes that it may help someone else. I would like to thank all of the individuals reponsible for getting my daughter's stereo replaced.
