Thomson Consumer Electronics Rip-off Disappeared No way to Get In Warranty Product Fixed Socorro Texas

General Electric sells telephone answering machines made by Thomson Consumer Electronics.
I have had two that broke. No way to get it repaired under warranty. The address for warranty repair in Socorro, Texas has no phone number.
Don't send your unit to them since that is the last you will see of your unit. See other rip off reports on products which GE sells that are made by Thomson Consumer Electronis.
Ge should be ashamed to put its logo on these products.

I am an ex-employee of Thomson. I left the company in early 1998. While I can't absolutely speak to current policy, I do know that historically Thomson has stood behind it's products and services.
During my tenure, all small audio and phone products were sent to a warehouse in the ElPaso area. They were then sent on to a rebuild facility in Mexico. Turn around on these products was always slow (4 to 6 weeks)and in many cases the product was exchanged with other rebuilt product rather then repaired and returned.
One notable exception to this policy was in the event of a power surge. If there was evidence that the product had been exposed to lightening damage, i.e. lifted circuit traces, carbon etching around spark gaps etc. They would normally inform you of their findings and offer an exchange for a cost.
In any event, if your product has fallen into a black hole and you haven't heard anything at all, I would call Thomson's Consumer Affairs line. They have the authority to investigate your claim and replace your missing items. They will require proof of purchase and any shipping information that you might have to prove that you sent it in the first place, but this is hardly a rip off. The consumer affairs phone number is clearly printed in all of TCE product owner's manuals.
