I studied the 2003 ElementK books, puchesed at (((redacted))), Went to take my test at (((redacted))) in Gray, TN.

I schedule my test for Nov. 27,2006, I was suppost to take my 2003 A+ Hardware & Software, I went in and the lady told me that all the computers were down and I couldnt take my test, that I would have to reschedule my test at no cost, but I had to call and reschedule my test by 3:00pm that day or I would lose my money, I finialy got a hold of them by 2:45pm that day,

I rescheduled my test for Nov. 30,2006, I went in and took my first test ( hardware ) and failed it, so I left and come back 2 hrs. later to take my software test and asked the lady if that is the 2003 test that I was taking that the whole test was nothing but batteries and acid burns,

she told me that I was not the only one who had complained about the test, she said that the books were only there to make more money for them, Bailey Computing sold the books to study for the test the books were $1200 and the test were $158. per test, so both test were $316.

they said that the test were not based on the books, so I went in to take my A+ Software test and failed it too, it had nothing to do with software, it all had to do with acid burns also, so I talked to Bailey about that and they said that they couldnt do anything about that, I would have to contact CompTIA & Prometric, so Friday I gave comptia & prometric a call and they both told me that they quite giving the 2003 test starting the 1st of Nov.

they come out with the new 2006 test and they said that they took all the old questions out and put the new questions in there and still put 2003 on the test, they refused to give me a retest or give me my money back, I asked them if I just lost $316. and they said not to look at it that way, to look at it like a learning experance,

Iam only 16 yrs old and took me over a year to earn my money to take my test, I studied for 2 yrs, followed by the rules and did everything right!

I went to the Comptia ( comptia.org ) website and prometric ( prometric.com ), do your self a favor and dont try to take this test or any test with comptia or prometric, it is a scam, dont waste your money or time!
