I found this company about purchasing a cable box so I could eliminate renting one from Spectrum. A guy named Jay answered the phone. He asked what cable company I had. After a lengthy conversation with Jay about how bad the cable companies are, he suggested I purchase a Motorola DCH3416. 

He asked about how many boxes I currently rent. After telling him 3 he immediately tried the sell me 3 boxes. I told him that I would buy one and if it worked, I would purchase 2 more. He told me to get a cable card from Spectrum and call him the minute I got the new box and he would walk me through the setup. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to leave a message and he would call right back.

I got the cable card and a few days later the new box arrived. I called Jay and left a message and he called me right back. I installed the cable card. Jay called Spectrum and in a few minutes I was using the new box. At that time, I purchased 2 more boxes. What I thought was weird, I had to make both purchases as a check over the phone even though the website said they took credit cards.

It took forever to get the two boxes. I did not get them until I left a message saying I would write nasty stuff on the internet if I did not receive the boxes. They immediately shipped and I was able to track them using the Fedex website. I finally got the two boxes over a month after I purchased them.

Jay had told me to call him and he would show me how to copy the cable card I had and we could get the two boxes setup. I have called and left messages and he has yet to call me back. So I have two boxes that are useless to me.I have been more than patient with him. I just left him another message. I told him that before I put this on the web he had one more (and last chance) to call me back.

I will wait for a little while for him to call me back. If he doesn't call back I will do what I told him I would do. I would suggest you don't do business with this crook. He is real talker and does not do what he says.
