Rented an economy car from this location on 04/25/13-04/28/13. The location claims to be at SJU, Luis Muoz Marin International airport, however it is located on the marginal roads adjacent to the airport premises. My complaint is that travelers who must take an early flight are forced to leave the vehicle at the airport for which Thrifty charges $75 + $25 to retrieve the car from the airport parking lot. This practice is clearly stated at the time of rental, however;  what Thrifty does not tell renters is that the facility is closed from 10:00 PM until 06:00 AM, therefore, if a renter is taking an early flight the car must be left at the airport, forcing the renter to pay the extra $100.00. Called Thrifty several times starting at 06:00, with no success until 06:25 that someone actually picked up the phone. This just happened to me and I found it to be a repulsive and miserable practice from Thrifty to make an extra $100.00 on poor customers that are traveling before 06:00. Besides, since there is no sign at the airport indicating where to leave the car, customers like myself go crazy and frustrated asking every one at the airport (no one knows anything, of course) where to leave the car, adding more frustration to the supposedly, "pleasant experience of renting a car for a good price". Shame on Thrifty. As for myself, I will NEVER use Thrifty as my car rental company of choice anymore and I will share my experience with everyone I know, will post it on the internet, and by word of mouth so people are informed of what Thrifty does to its customers, who think they are saving money renting from Thrifty, and instead they are robbed miserably.
