Beware cabin owners!!! Our cabin is listed with Tica Cabin Rentals, Inc. and it has been a horrible experience!!! It is impossible to get paid for rentals without begging. When, and if, they finally issue a check, not only do they take 35% of the cabin's rentals, but they hit you with promo dates any time they want to. Yes - it's in the contract that they have the right to use 7 days as promo days but it says "throughout the year" not all up front. They do not provide any proof that the renter was given "promo" days - they just simply deduct it from the owner's check with no explanation. For instance, 3 promo nights were deducted from our first check! What a way to start out a business relationship!
The owners of Tica do not return telephone calls. They also state on their website that they are members of VRMA (which is not true). The maid service is horrible. We pay our cabin payment and all of the utilities - for what????? - for strangers to stay in our cabin and we aren't even getting paid for it!!!!! You had better believe that Tica gets paid!
I wish we had researched a little deeper before we decided to use Tica. They snowed us with promises that were never kept. I can't begin to express how unhappy I am with this company!! Stay Away from Tica!!!

As of July 22, we still have not received any money from Tica. They do not return our telephone calls. I've been doing a little research on the Internet and I have found pages and pages of complaints against this company for the exact same reasons posted in my original complaint. I can't understand why this company is allowed to remain in business. They are ripping everyone off!
I just want the money they owe us. With the economy the way it is, we really need this money to help us make our cabin payment. We paid Tica money to set our cabin up for rental, we have paid the utilities that someone else used and now we aren't even being paid for letting renters use our home! As of today, they owe us over $3,000.
Cabin owners - do not use this company!! They are crooks!
