Tiffany Talent Tried to get me to over-pay for artist head-shots in order to get representation Seattle Washington

Just to let you know my own experience with this questionable so called, "Talent Agency". The age old axiom is still true: "if you have to pay to play: walk away"! and that is just what I did. I did not get ripped-off because I did the math and it didn't add up! 1.) a true and reputable talent agent is just that -- an agent an nothing more. They do not try to up sell you anything;they don't need to as they are good at just being an agent and no more. They'll make their money on getting you placed. The more successful that you are the more successfull they are themselves period. Besides, you have to go to the audition and get the gig; they don't get the gig for you.
2.) They do not have the time nor the interest in selling you any add-on packages like: photographs/classes. Their job is to get you to the audition on time. Submit the person and do the follow through required. That's it. That's a quality agent and no more. It would be like a Employment Agency telling you that you have a great skill set and that they can get you hired but, that they need to re-write your resume for a fee of $1,000.00 before they can add you to their list of agency job candidates. This is an exact comparison. If you see the non-sense at play here then your B.S. dector is working properly. This is just my report from the field to keep my fellow creative brothers and sisters who are trying to make it in the creative field informed and ripped-off free!
