I contacted this company via internet in September 2006. Recieved a message from Amie Smith, Senior Ad Executive stating that if I was serious about selling my time share to call her right away. After talking to Ms. Smith I decided to place an add to sell my time share and/or to rent it, totaling $1,198.00.

I requested the information be put in writing. I asked if I were not satisfied would I recieve a refund and was assured of this. However, by November I had not recieved anything in mail, never seen my add, and had not heard from the company.

After several attempts I was able to speak to Ms. Smith. I informed her I have not recieved anything in writing and was thus far not happy with the service I was being provided. I asked for their business license and was given the run around. I then asked for a refund and was transferred to several individuals.

The last person I spoke to was Tracy Hill, who informed me she was Ms. Smith's boss, was rude, demeaning, insulting, and extemely unprofessional. She would not address my concerns for a refund, rather she kept giving me the run around and eventually left me on hold and did not return.

I contacted the better business bureau and filed a complaint. I also contacted my bank (Wells Fargo) and informed them of the fraud I experienced with this company. Since I used my visa credit card, they immediately conducted an investigation.

November 17, 2006 I was given a provisional credit of my money while the investigation took place. Wells Fargo reported that TimeShares by Owner had 45 days to refute the accusations against them.

Today, January 12, 2007, I contacted Wells Fargo and was informed that the investigation was closed and that TimeShares by Owner had not responded. I am happy to report that I got my total and complete refund. Fellow consumers, I just want to let you know, you can get your money back and win.

Whenever you use a credit card (Visa), you can refute the charges with the fraud department of your bank. Your bank along with the Visa company will go after the company who charged you. I was told that Visa is a big company with very strict rules for merchants using their credit system. Most companies don't want to fight against Visa. I have learned a huge lesson and will do my homework before using companies like this one......Beware and Fight Back.
