Hello. I signed up with time Warner in November 07. I have not paid a single bill because none are right! The first month they credited me for the cable service because it didn't work. The guy went through multiple boxes and said "ok, this might work, if it doesn't give them a call". So I did. I waited another day, they sent someone out and finally got a signal. But, it was weak and never worked properly.

I spent about 12 hours on the phone with various reps throughout this time. I canceled November 20th. The rep insisted that I stay and he assured me the problem could be fixed! I said I'd keep the service if they fixed it! BIG MISTAKE! No-one showed up! So our agreement was null and void.

I contacted TWC in December several times but the hold times were too long for me to get through to an operator. Finally I was able to call at the end of December but before they did they had to send a service tech out to verify the cable wasn't working and try to fix it in order to credit me for the SECOND month of non-working service. They came out, the guy looked, took the box.

I called and told the guy on the phone the box is no longer in the house and he CALLED ME A LIAR! I asked for a supervisor and the guy kept talking to me for 10 more minutes! Finally I talked to a supervisor and she said "no, we see the box has been turned back in". The first guy wouldn't take a payment because I didn't have my account number (and I was on my bluetooth at AT LUNCH!.. this is the extent I went through to talk to these people).

I talked to the cancellation department again because the supervisor I spoke to couldn't "cancel my cable service". I spoke with a supervisor named "Tony". He said everything would be straightened out and I can pay my bill tomorrow minus the cable TV charges. Great! I called back five minutes later and the notes were still there! Great!

I called back the next day and surprise surprise the notes weren't there. I asked what my bill was and it was $400!! For two months of service! They issued me a $113 credit and the rep I spoke with issued me a $65 credit. So after the $113 credit and the $65 credit After the other $65 credit my bill was now $330! So after $178 credit for 2 months of cable TV and Internet (Total bill about $140 plus tax a month) my bill was still $300! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??

I insisted I speak to a manager and one called me back 2 days later in attack mode! The bill is right there is nothing they are going to do about it! Simple logic doesn't work with these people! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? ITS NOT! Needless to say she refused to give me her last name, employee ID number OR EVEN HER JOB TITLE! I told her I was going to file with the BBB, rip off report and the FTC... she said "you go ahead and do that!"

I call corporate and someone named Barbara called me back in attack mode responding to my BBB complaint. We argued for about 30 minutes while she was being very cynical the entire conversation. FINALLY I GOT HER TO BREAK DOWN THE BILL AND LOW AND BEHOLD I WAS CHARGED FOR AN EXTRA MONTH! She had to call me back of course because "the dates don't make sense".

Well, no call until I called back and she said "oooh, oops, our mistake. I know you've been trying to convey this to us for hours and hours but ooops".

I am a very professional gentleman and I remained MUCH MORE CALM than the average consumer would after all of this! At the end I said "Look, I just want you to put yourself in my shoes, as a consumer and understand my frustration from spending hours on the phone with reps sweetheart."(only to be proven right at EVERY SINGLE JUNCTURE).

"IM NOT YOUR SWEETHEART!" was the reply and she began arguing with me! I could not BELIEVE IT! After all of that she is going to speak to me in that fashion? Then she has the nerve to tell me I'm being unprofessional. What? I'm not supposed to be professional, IM THE CUSTOMER! MY GOD, a friendly warm statement that was meant to put a human face on this monsterous machine was returned with "I'm not your sweetheart?" I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT! I just hung up the phone!

Long story short, I'm not only out to get my bill straightened out now but I'm out to make sure I tell EVERYONE about my experience! After refusing to admit their mistakes and being forced to acknowledge the truth in their own documents their reps take a overly frustrated situation and inflate it to this point? Apparently they don't care about BBB reports, ripoffreport.com reports and ATTORNEY GENERAL COMPLAINTS!
