This company is lying and using fraudulent sales tactics to steal money from people desperately trying to get rid of their timeshares. The company makes promises it cant fulfill through their sales reps. Then later deny making such promises. Sneding out canned messages that they are just an advertising company and that they do not promise a sale. BULL! I for one would not have paid $699 for just advertising my timeshare without the guarantee of a sale. That I am 100% sure of. I had already lost about $1500 so called timeshare sales agencies I was not about to pay a dime more. Their sales representative Laura knew this. I flat out said I have no money to give to a timeshare sales company. Thats when she said Timeshares by owner works directly with Wyndham (lies), and they have contact to sell to people after the viewing of the presentations by the timeshare company. Since i had no money to spare she suggested i put in on a card and guaranteed a sale or rental before the bill came due. "Actually right now we have customers looking to rent at the location you own, we need the points" she said. This was early summer, i was inclined to believe she was telling the truth. She even promised to call every week to keep me updated.
A month & several unanswered calls later, I decided to terminate the transaction. This is when Kevin White came in to the picture with his canned response saying i had 7 days to cancel. What! i do not remember hearing anything about 10 days to cancel & it was not on any packet i got. All i got was print outs of the add & the transaction receipt.
It wasn't until 30 days later when I wrote to terminated that i got this pile of documents with one indication i had 7 days to cancel. They obviously did not put me in a situation to cancel after 7 days if they were guaranteeing a sale in 30 days did they? That is if i was informed in the first place.

If you have paid upfront fees to resale companies you may want to check out a website called cheaptimesharedeals.com they have a section on their site to help you get your money back. They also have no upfront fee listing service. Good luck!

All timeshare owners should be aware that this requesting an up front fee for advertising is a scam. There is a Florida statute that states on the sale of a timeshare the company cannot request an up front fees; not even for 'advertising'. Most of these companies are from Florida. I was scammed by a company no longer in existence; same thing up front fees. I was able to get a credit of the amount from my bank.
I was also contacted by Timeshare by Owner looking for up front fee. Told them to take me off there phone list since they were trying to contact at least 2 - 3 times a week.
