Timeshare Hotlist Fraudulent Representations Orlando Florida

This company uses deceptive, bordering on fraudulent, misrepresentations to lure timeshare owners into paying money for their advertising services.   Unfortunately, my gullibility cost me almost $3000.   The "salespeople" cold-call owners of timeshares, claiming to be in "desperate" need for timeshare weeks or points, for a convention in Orlando in January (or June, or August -- whenever the next convention is), claiming that convention attendees will pay generously (in my case, $1800 for each 1100 points), and not even mentioning the "advertising" fee, or the main purpose of their business being advertising, until you are "hooked" on the idea of making serious money back on your timeshare investment and extra points.  When I was told that I would have to sign a contract, and pay thousands of dollars in advance, I hung up on the caller, and immediately googled the company.  Their website shows timeshare weeks for sale in the $1800 range, and the company is a member of the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Orlando regional chamber of commerce, and a "trusted site" on the Online Business Bureau (OBB). Makes it appear reputable, doesn't it?  Well, maybe it is for individuals looking to rent timeshares, but certainly not for timeshare owners.  After repeated calls from THL, I finally agreed to speak with a Manager (Kenny Helton), who assured me that they really needed my timeshare points, and that I would make the money back, and much more, within 3 months. In 16 months, I have not received a single inquiry.  Although I complained to the OBB, the extent of their effort was to send a copy of my complaint to THL weekly for a couple months, threatening to removed their trusted site status if they didn't reply.  To my knowledge, THL didn't reply, and no recourse was taken.  The contract says that advertising methods include website, direct mail, direct email, direct corporate contact, trades shows and conventions, etc.  However I was never able to find “my” ad on the website, and when I asked for access to advertising materials, I never received it.   The contract does provide that the 90-day listing of property can be extended on request.  I did so several times, but last time I requested my ad be relisted, I was told that my points were still in great demand, and I might consider reducing the price (which they had set in the first place).  Also, last month, when I requested to extend the ad one more time, I was told that THL is  “no longer relisting ads.”   There is no limit on relisting in the contract.  The contract does provide for a "free" vacation in the event no sales ae made of the timeshare; however, although I asked for the "certificate" I have not received it, and probably won't.   I can provide a copy of the one-page contract on request.
