Tires Choice Margate Joe & Brian I was ripped off by these two guys and was sold aftermarket instead of factory engine mounts Margate Florida

I first went into tires choice in margate 9 months ago or so and used them for oil changes. The guys there seemed nice so when I bought a 2007 GMC Envoy a month ago, I thought I would go there for some needed repairs. I would usually take this to my budddy who has been a mechanic for 30 years, but I was low on cash and I have a charge account with Tires Choice so I chose to get my repairs done there. I had originally went for an oil change months before for my gf's care so the bill was in her name, Randy.

 I went in for repairs on 1-31. My vehicle had a loud vibration comung from it, my mechanic said the engine mounts needed to be replaced. On that day, they replaced one mount and I also had 1000 in other repairs done and spent $1200 in total and also sold me on on fuel service. The engine vibration stopped, but two days later, it started again. I was told by Brian and Joe that they only use factory parts. 

I bring my vehicle back to Tires Choice on 2-14, they said that  we will get it back up on the rack and take care of it. This time they replace the other engine mount and transmission mount and said that they used factory parts, this repair cost me another $185. The vibration stopped for a few days then returned.

I bring my vehicle back in again, this time on 2-22, I tell them tis is rediculous, I'm paying you guys to fix this problem and my vehicle still vibrates. They tell me that now, I need my harmonic balancer replaced and that its going to be another $600, but they couldnt guarantee the vibration would stop.

I then bring my vehicle into my mechanic friend who I should went ti the first place, my god, was I ever surprisedwhen he showed me what I feared, he pit my vehicle on the rack and he said, "those guys at Tires Choice did not put factory engine mounts and a transmission mount on your vehicle, they used after market mounts, that's why your vehicle is still vibrating.

My mechanic said if you want this problem fixed, you need to replace the crap after market mounts they sold you with factory mounts. I borrowed the money, he put the factory mounts on my vehicle, no more vibrating, it runs like a charm. I have spent a crap load of money with these guys and even spent another $500 a few weeks back for tires on my girlfriends car. This is nhow I am repayed for being a good customer??

 I was lied to and ripped ofF!!!

First I would like to say I am an auto mechanic with 30+ years in my trade. 20 of those years were spent in customer service. I now work in fleet repair.

If I were a judge I would ask to see your original invoice and that of the garage. But I am not a judge or an attorney. So I am compelled to base my opinion on what you wrote in your complaint. 

The first thing that pops to my mind is why in God's name would you let a tire shop deal with an NVH concern (Noise, Vibration, Harshness). I can understand trying to save a buck. But at my level this is like asking McDonalds to prepare a Rib Eye steak for me.

To be fair, I believe this garage did the work as best as they knew how. If you were misled by the work done, that falls on the shop owner, Not the mechanics. If he/she lied to you about the part used, consider this a very cheap lesson.

I would suggest when repairs are needed for anything, ask your coworkers, people you worship with, those you play golf with who do you go to for automotive repairs?

The shop they reccomend may be more than you are prepared to spen. But there is a reason people have been going to that garage. Furthermore if you tell that garage "so and so" reccommened you, you are going to get top noch service. Otherwise they risk losing you and the person who reccomended you

I was told the 2 engine mounts  and transmissions mounts were factory parts, they were in fact not, in turn I had to pay another $450 on factory mounts, and like magic, the vibration stopped. These guys wanted to sell me a another part I didnt need for 600 bucks

I have been to this location numerouse times, since Brian and Joe have been there I have had nothing but the best service. They are always kind and honest. everyone knows that you don't get original parts when going to a shop, that's why you don't pay the price you pay at the dealer. Something tells me that there is more to this story and I will be sure to tell them I saw this. they have always been fair, done thier best to help with pricing and I have seen myself when they can't say for sure that something is going to work, they are at least honest unlike many others here in this business. I trust these guys and will continue to use them, some people have nothing better to do than sit in front of thier computer these days and cry and complain. It's just a shame.
