Titan Group ,Sports Plus In Fenton This place is a scam, don't waste your time! Fenton Missouri

In July 2008, I posted my resume on monster.com, and litterally the next morning I get called from this place called Sports Plus in Fenton, MO. I had no job at the time so naturally this excited me, a real marketing job in an office.

So I go in for the interview a couple days later. Arrive 30 min. early like I was asked. I then had an interview with one of the owners, Mark Kernan. They don't tell you much about the job itself, they just tell you how far you can get in the company.

I did well in the interview thinking I got a good chance of being called back that night to see if I made it to the 2nd interview. I got the call and hurried back the next day to give it a shot.

I come to find out that I'm going to be driving around all d**n day with 2 complete strangers (who smoke in the car all day!). We went out to North County in Florissant, an area that I know well, which helped me feel a little better about the situation. Turns out these guys just walk business-to-business for 8 hours selling discount pizza cards, and discount Cardinals and Blues ticket coupons.

So there I was walking around all day long in a suit with uncomfortable shoes on....killing my feet, and sweating up a storm in 95 degree weather. I watched them sell all day and it seemed like something I may be able to tollerate doing for a while until I get a real job.

Each day you work 7:45 am to 6:00 pm. They send you out to a different area each day with a map, whether you know the area or not. Before going to the businesses each day, you practice your pitch, which gets very boring and stressful when you don't remember every detail.

They tell you that you write off your gas receipts at tax time, I still don't know if that will work out, it will be time to do that in 2 months.

I put up with it for exactly 1 month. I stumbled into a job opening in a mall near my house one day while I was trying to sell. So I am thankful that this scam of a job led me to that mall job. Because the mall job led me to what I have now and its awesome, but I digress.

Anyway, this place will give you about $4-7 from every piece of merchandise you sell in the field, not worth it at all. I wasted so much time and money that month. Gas was $3.50+ that summer, so I wasted money on that and clothes for this job.

Basically, steer clear of any Titan Group opportunity that comes your way, you will get screwed out of time and money!
