WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER! My items are missing. Many damages and the they ripped me off for over $600 more than the original estimate.

I saw they had an A rating with the BBB! I guess that rating means nothing as these bums or thiefs that showed up at my house ripped us off and many items are missing. The head guy smelled like alcohol and his eyes were glazed over and he kept staring at me whenever i passed him. I felt nervous and threatened.Every time i asked the mover how much longer it will take to complete the move he just said dont worry about it andat the end of the move, they held my items hostage until i pain the huge bill in full. The driver said they had not worked in several days as it was very slow and they had nomoves to work on and they were glad they were on my move to make money.

The driverdemanded cash and said they no longer took credit cards. The driver then told me they also add on a tip of 15% which i would not stand for. I just wanted them to leave! They smoked cigarettes constantly and it was just a low life experience. I would have paid them to leave... KEEP AWAY FROM TITAN MOVING AND STORAGE! THEY ARE TERRIBLE!

Response from Titan Moving & Storage

I am writing this rebuttal in response to a complaint placed by Denise from Boca Raton, FL. We have never moved a client with the first name Denise from Boca Raton and therefore believe this report to be a fake complaint by one of our competitors, but to clarify:

First, we do not "rip off" our customers, nor have we "helditems hostage". We have an excellent reputation and intend on keeping it that way. We have an "A" rating with the BBB, not one single complaint, and have been in business for four years. Nor do we have any complaints with Broward County/Palm Beach County/Miami-Dade County Consumer Affairs Divisions or the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. We have maintained this reputation due to our professional and ethical behavior. In fact, I tell every prospective client to research the moving company they're considering, even those who indicate they're already committed to do business with us, for complaints with County and State agencies. The moving business is wrought with circumstances as described above and I want my clients to make an informed and educated decision and know that moving companies are governed by State rules.

That said, I strongly suggest and even challenge Denise to report these allegations to the proper authorities. These government agencies are set up to protect the consumer and will act on these allegations with a thorough investigation, attempt to assist you in recouping your loss and at the very least record their findings (if negative) for the public to obtain. Of course, to utilize these services you will have to provide proper documentation (original quote, Bill of Lading, inventory and receipts for your missing/stolen/damaged items, and final receipt of payment-any consumer should secure a receipt and paperwork even in cash sales). I will be more than happy to address these claims with any government agency.

As for the other allegations, my husband/co-owner, is on-site for every move. Damages can occur whenever furniture is handled, however, this is addressed immediately by myself or my husband. Although appreciated, we never solicit tips from our customers. We have a zero tolerance policy on stealing, and I believe our record speaks for itself.

In conclusion, this is a feeble attempt to undermine our reputation from a competitor and I advise anyone interested in hiring a mover to check with their local, County, State and Federal Agencies to ensure the mover is a reputable company.
