BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! We were in the midst of moving as we were relocating from Simi Valley, CA when two young men approached my husband about magazine subscriptions. They lured him into nearly an hour long conversation and at the end of it, he caved and purchased two subscriptions at $51 each. The purchase took place on 4/16/11. Ironically, they tell you to "call" within 3 days if you want to cancel (GOSH HOW I WISH I WOULD HAVE PUT A STOP ON THOSE CHECKS, THEN AGAIN THE CROOKS WOULD HAVE HAD OUR BANK ACCTS IN HAND FOR FUTURE USE :/)  In any case, we wrote the checks after selecting the magazines and as of 6/17/11 nothing has been received. I have tried calling the 877-812-2645 number on the receipt, but, ofcourse, a ladies voice appears and says to leave a message and the call will be returned. I am sure no one even checks the messages. WHO owns this 877? Anyway, I live in CA and there is no way I am flying to TX to see who is at the address on the receipt which is 14080 Nacogdoches Road #60 San Antonio, TX 78247. I am however in the midst of contacting the San Antonio Police Department so they can investigate the person at the address.

I am sure there are older people behind this madness, but, the trick is they send very charming, young men and women to complete these sales. I can not imagine what incentive there is for these "salespeople" who can take up so much of your time and knowingly bamboozle you out of your hard earned money. Although, it is $102---I imagine after the hundreds upon hundreds of trusting people who complete these purchases in faith that they will receive the product promised and paid for, actually end up lending  to the crook's pot of gold (which I am SURE is in the thousands and thousands of dollars).

We are level headed people here, but  these young men had a sound story and it really seemed like a legit order- where you dont ask yourself "is it too good to be true?". Door to door sales today is not what it started out as, let's say one hundred years ago. YOU CAN NOT TRUST ANYONE TO HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST AT HEART IF THEY ARE SELLING DOOR TO DOOR...that is the world today.

I want to form a class action suit somehow. I am in the midst of creating a report with the San Antonio Police Department because I at least have an address on the receipt which i am SURE someone occupies. I would HIGHLY recommend that people do not take situations like this lightly and try to pursue some justice...that is the only way these thieves will cease their operation. I also want to contact my local news...I would urge people to fight against this SCAM.....
