Hi Everyone,
I would like to say that this company is the biggest ripoff you could ever encounter. That are no more than Loan Sharks. Praying on the poor people that may have money troubles. And having to get a loan just
to pay the bills and get by. I was told they were comming after my car when my payment was due on Thursday. They told me that Friday they were comming to repo it. (2006) car. And if i did not give it to them they would bring the police. I contacted the police department and they said it is civil and that they do not handle such things. So they use scare tactics. I was told that they may have off duty or reserve police working for them that if they think you may not give your car up easly. They use them just to scare you into handing it over. Remember to ask for their ID!!! And if they work for the company. Read the law in your state to find out what the laws are. Also Remember it is civil not crimnal when it comes to a loan. I got the money from my boss to pay it off.
And when i went to get my title back. We can't seem to find it !!! And they will have to mail it to me. And i also ask for my extra key i had to give them
when i got the loan. Oh we cannot find it either. I bet they could find it if they had came to get my car. It took me 3 weeks just to get my title and key back after going their 15 times. What do they think i am just going to let them keep it. Please !!! Give me a break !!! It costed me $723.00 on top of the loan that $2,000. Just in intrest. And when i made the loan they said it will only be like $250.00 extra you will have to pay back. When you make the loan they have a ton of paper work to sign and it is so much it would take you 2 hours to read it all. And if you start reading it they say they have all this work to do get kind of crabby, Like hey do not have time to just sit their while you read it. They say sign here. I could say alot more but you get the just of everything. Remember to VOTE and get the laws changed so the little man can have a chance. STOP LEGAL ROBBERY !!! NEVER USE TITLE MAX.
Also i would like to say one more thing. After i got the loan i started getting checks in the mail from loan companies. for $800.00 and $300.00. Just cash the check
and you have the loan. And on he back of the check it ask do you have a 2nd tv in your home crap like that. For Collateral. HMMM wonder where they got my name and address ??? Intrest rate was 132%. They want you to default your loan so you can't repay. Never the less i tore them up and trashed them. My car is worth $14,000 grand. So they wanted it bad. Just to give you a heads up. And an to give you an idea whats up. Trust no one !!!!

Not fully expalined..

You did a great job of explaining the system in a bitter and shallow way. ALL of
the things this bitter ex-employee said is correct. What he did not include is that
the company I once worked for goes VERY into detail about this BEFORE they
let you leave. Ask them, I'm sure you will see that it's true. No one wins when they have to pick up a vehicle. I bet you find folks who want to help you more than you know. IL

#5 UPDATE Employee
Wow

I honestly can say I think these posts are hilarious. Yes, I do work for them. And I do loans for people everyday. And never once has I have complaints unless someone is late. There are so many ways to get money, and you, the customer, decided to come to us. Why didn't you go to a bank? Is your credit that bad? How does credit get bad? By not paying your bills. It is sad that the excuse why people do not pay their bills is the lenders fault. You, as the consumer, have every right to thoroughly research any contract before you sign it. So, did a Titlemax employee drag you off the street, put a gun to your head, and make you sign paperwork? Unless for some crazy reason this hapened, you have no reason to blame anyone but yourself. I don't know about other states, but here in Tennessee all title pawns are mandated by the state of Tennessee. They set every rule we have to follow. And guess what, we charge less than anyone else in this business. All we ask is that you pay your bill on time, and if you cannot come by the office and talk to us. What is so hard about that? All we ask is that you act like a responsible adult, not a child who ducks and dodges and complains. I've had customers tell me their mom died and thats why they are late. Then I talk to their mom 2 days later when they still haven't paid. Great morals. So basically, here it is. If you get a loan, pay your bills. If you don't, you make our job harder. People don't understand this is our job. It's not personal. It's business. So do what you agree to do. And advice, just as in any loan, pay it off as quick as you can. Then you pay less interest. Commom sense.

STAY AWAY FROM TITLE MAX

They rip people off on a daily basis. People run into hard times everyday and need money to just get by. Thast where places like TITLEMAX come in. Sure they will give you money, but if your one day late, THERE GOES YOUR CAR!!!!!! People there are better ways to borrow money at a lower rate!!!!

#3 Consumer Suggestion
Consumer Protection

In the State of Tennesee there is the Title Pledge Act which all title pledge businesses must abide by. It is regulated by the Department of Financial Institutions in Nashville. Although there is a lot of papers to sign the consumer has till the end of the next business day to CANCEL the entire transaction at no cost. No new laws are needed to be voted on since there are plenty now. It is a matter of the companies doing business follow them and if not, the Department of Financial Institutions must take action against them. If you have complaints, they should be filed with them in Nashville. They generally examine the individual locations at least once a year.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds
Read the contract

Im sorry you couldnt pay your bill ontime and they were going to take your car away. But before you go getting mad about the rate you should do your homework. Your rate was at a 9.99 monthly. Check around with other title pawn companies, I bet everyone of them is the STATE MAX of 22% monthly. You want to file a lawsuit because you could not pay your bill and paid 1/2 the intrest of the other companies. Also if you had paid it back in 30 (title pawns are 30 days) it would have been $250. But you must have chosen to rennew the account for another 30 days. It is the same as taking a tv to a pawn shop. It is due every 30 days.
You should of also recived a payback guide with all your payments listed, so you would know how much it would have cost up front.

As Dan was saying in the earlier post. Keyword: Arbitration Provision. It is best to pay off the loan. If you can and as quickly as possible. But once the loan is paid. You file sute on them for excessive interest. And damages caused to you by them. Make sure it is within a year. We are currently filing a class action on Titlemax excessive interest. To find a lawyer type in your google search Titlemax class action. Get on the band wagon. Help in our fight to stop legal robbery. Make sure to add damages you have suffered. (The trouble this loan caused you personaly). It may be lost earnings. ect. Contact your lawyer. Most take their payment when the case is settled. I will update you on my progress. GO GET EM! Oh by the way the ex employee of this company that posted sounds like a current employee to me. Remember trust no one!
