A couple of days ago I noticed a charge of $11.99 that I previously thought was from a legitimate subscription that I had. After doing research and finding this website I followed the advice of another consumer and called the GreatFun phone number.
Once I got through I was prompted to enter my membership number, then I was put on hold to speak to a representative. I told the woman on the phone that I wanted to cancel whatever subscription I had. She quickly went into a sales pitch to keep me on board with their program. I told her I was not interested and she then cancelled my subscription.
The next thing I asked for was a refund. I explained to her that I was not aware of my subscription, and that I never received any information about it. I also explained that I had not used the service. She informed me that I had accepted membership when I took a gift card when I purchased tickets from Fandango.com. She said she would be able to give me a refund for four months of my membership. I asked her how long I had been a member she informed me that I had been a member for six months. At this point I asked her to refund the entire six months. She put me on hold so that she could speak to her manager and authorize the refund. The woman returned and informed me that she would be able to give me the full refund. She explained that the credit should appear in 10-15 days.
It's only been a day, but I'm beginning to worry after reading other consumer complaints. Apparently this company will tell you that they have cancelled your subscription and refunded your money but not such thing happens. They have been known to blatantly lie.
I am hopeful that my refund will be appearing on my bank statements, and no further charges will be made.

GreatFun has given me a full refund. I just checked my bank account and I have six new credit amounts for $11.99. It appears that this company was truthful when they told me that they would cancel and give me a full refund when I called them a couple weeks ago.
Although they scammed me into the service, they did not scam me out of a refund. For those of you have been scammed, make sure you call them and be polite but firm to them. Do not take no for an answer. Make sure you insist on a FULL refund. If you do not they will only give you a partial refund.
