North American Marketing Association (NAMA) and TM Multimedia work in tandem. First, you get a call to start your own website business for just $159 or $199. This is a special, of course. But you are told that everything involved is perfectly within your realm of expertise because all aspects of the site are set up for you. That’s the pitch from North American Marketing Assoc.
It seems viable that you could buy enough or direct enough people to your site for a decent commission – especially at this reasonable price. The products are 1) health care (a hot topic – so the possibility of getting a plan with a decent premium seems positive) 2) home loans and mortgage information (wow! Another hot topic!) and 3) “affiliates.” (shopping in retail online stores) Anyone who goes through your site and buys something gains you a commission. You can buy products for yourself through your own site and get a kickback.
That seems accessible. When I signed up, the stores included:  Starbucks Store; Orbitz; PetMeds; Dish Network; Macys; Wal-mart; Apple Store; Overstock.com; Buy.com; and CompUSA.     Customer service confers to get a domain name then puts you into a generic site with your ID. There’s nothing you can do to alter the site or personalize it.
Then you get a call from TM Multimedia, a marketing firm that convinces you what a bundle you could make if you hire them to send “X” number of motivated buyers to your site. They tell you it’s guaranteed (just sending people to the site is no guarantee of someone’s buying products). Investing a little will allow you to pay off the investment in 10 months. In fact, you will be making more, the more you invest. So they find out how much you have available, then they encourage you to tap into whatever sources you can.  They cite people who have made exorbitant amounts of money but don’t tell you how much those people invested. I invested $3,000. That wasn’t enough to get TV ads.
The problem is that TM Multimedia doesn’t send you the written material (explanation, contracts and contacts, etc.) for two weeks.  During that time, I actually bought a few products from my own site as part of the original program that NAMA discussed with me. When I noticed that five out of ten sites weren’t working, I called with my concerns. I was dismissed with the admonition that everyone there was a professional. Everything would be taken care of. I couldn’t get any information about my role in the process. After that, I never talked to a real person -- only an answering machine. After five months, I still have not received any dividends.
When I received and read the material from TM Multimedia, I knew this wasn’t a viable proposition. Immediately, I sent a certified letter refusing to sign the contract and asking for a refund. With no reply for a couple of months, I sent another certified letter asking for a refund. I’ve never heard from the company.
