We first received and email telling us we had won $595,000.oo in an online lottery draw. We had 24 hours to provide delivery details for the cheque.
We sent the detail and were then given another 24 hours to choose the amount we preferred to pay for the transport of our confirmtion documentation and have been given two weeks to pay.
The sums amount to R2000.00 to R3000.00 (south african) and this is alot of money.
Fortunately, we did not pay the amount but we do want other people to be aware of this scam. Honestly, if I had the money, I would have paid it.
Good thing I surfed the net first to find out if this was a valid company. I then found the link that reported it to be a scam (Nov 2007).
