Todays Escapes Or dealpass.com Double billing-arguementive Des Plaines Illinois

I signed up for Todays Escapes,they promise 30 days free, $50 Walmart gift card, then 19.95 per mo. Can cancell at any time.
When I got the bill I called to cancell. The rep Janet#26270 told me I could have the whole years membership for 19.95. Since I didnt even look at this program yet, I agreed. Janet said she would cancell my membership,(which she did) and credit my account for both charges of 19.95 (which she did)She sent me a new packet, with a new account, and another Walmart gift card application.That was 12-16-06. My February credit card bill was billed 19.95. At that time I called and confirmed that this was the only charge I would have for the year. Then I was billed on my March credit card for another 19.95!

On 3-15-07 I called to complain about this duplicate charge and the rep was very arguementive and rude! She told me I didnt cancell a Todays Escape membership it was Shopping Advantage. (Which is wasnt, and she was quite offended when I gave her the old membership number.) After her rudeness I asked to speak with a supervisor.

Shannon #22363 got on the phone, I explained everything all over again about being billed twice. She then asked in a condesending tone, what is it you want! I then said I wanted the second billing of 19.95 taken off. I would only pay 19.95 for the year just like I was promised by Janet. She said she would credit the amount.

Later that evening I logged on to www.dealpass.com for the first time to see what my membership entailed. To my surprise when I put in my membership number it came back cancelled! So now Ive spent 19.95 for absolutely nothing!

The next day I called back and got another rep Abraham 10345.I then had to explain this even longer problem. He rudely told me that there was nothing he could do once its cancelled. (I was asking him to reinstate my account or credit me the 19.95) I then told him I would take the matter to my credit card company and file a dispute. He then said he would credit me the 19.95. I dont know if that will happen but Im keeping my fingers crossed.

Just wanted to let people know not to get mixed up with companys that promise free gift cards. Never did here about the walmart gift card after sending in the info. requested. Always check all the charges on your cc statements, and conpare them with the previous months. I can tell you how many mistakes and scams are out there.
