The following response is to Ilene's email. If you look at my previous posts I outline exactly the same things or more elaboratively about Together Dating Services. Everyone is dischanted with this company. I opted for select screening, and they never matched me with anyone even close to what I specified. The matchmakers as well as the person who enrolled me state that they cannot guarantee the person they want, but it seems to me then if this is the case, why would a person want to pay extra for select screening. Their select screening is that they tell you what the person looks like and the same about you if this person chooses the same. I have come to the conclusion doesn't matter how attractive or how many redeeming qualities you have, these dating services simply do not have the database --so they get along by false promises and have to set you up with whomever is available.

Other than one person, who wrote in, who was full of herself, and pleased with the service (a poster girl for Together) I read no other posts where anyone was happy with this dating service and truly felt they had been duped. I have considered small claims as well as hoping to find another person who was prepared to join in a Class Action suit (there was a post the same date as yours that was looking for others to join in on a suit). As I have a dissertation fellowship and am too busy trying to finish my dissertation, I haven't pursued either route, but would very much out of principal try to file a class action suit.

Advise if you might have some interest in this area.
