Called "Same day repairs" to get our washer fixed. He came out and said it needed a new motor and that it would be $463 and it would take a few days for the part to come in. After over a week he finally had an appintment to come back out and the day of I received a call saying there was an emergency and he would have to come on Friday. On Friday he came out made the "repair" and was on his way. Being that my washer was out of service for over a week, I immediatly started laundry. I quickly noticed the washer tub was banging so hard during the spin cycle and was forced to shut it down. I called to have him come back out and had to leave 3 voicemails before I finally got a call back. When I finally got the call they said he could come out on friday between 11-2. I waited all day and he never showed. I called (couldn't leave a voicemail because the mailbox was full) and even texted and never heard back. Thinking something might be off, I looked up the phone number he left and found many other fraud reports with similar stories. Hopefully this one helps others avoid his scam and crappy work.

Here is our experience with "Same Day Repairs".
We called this company - Same Day Repairs - 301-613-6880. (I noticed later this telephone number is listed for multiple repair companies.)
'Jay' arrived. He had no business card, a generic work order pad with no printed company name, and got huffy when I asked for a last name - Hillyer.
My husband, after watching him, said he didn't know what he was doing. We needed a leaking dishwasher drain hose replaced. Although we told him what the problem was and the part needed, he came without it and had to go get it, and charged four times what we could have paid for it online. He told us the charge - $58 for the part plus $185 for labor, which seemed a bit pricey, but we agreed.
He did replace the drain hose, but messed up the pull-down sprayer which my husband discovered after he left, and had to re-attach correctly himself.
Fortunately our experience was not as bad as some, as he actually did the repair, but I would never use this company, or repairman, again.
