I have been buying and selling jewelry on Ebay for years. When I saw the jewelry being offered by Tina Jewelry (ebay id tina-jewe) I was initially impressed with the nice photos, certification and low prices. I thought I was getting a steal. Well, instead they just stole from me.

I purchased what was supposed to be a "genuine" $13,725.00 sapphire and diamond ring. I opened the box and was amazed at what they had the nerve to send me. The center stone was completely black like old motor oil, not the beautiful transparent blue shown in the photo. The item I received was not the one shown in the pictures posted on Ebay. This is a bait and switch rip off. They show you a photo of a fine quality jewelry item, take your money and send you a completely different ring.

I took my $13,725.00 motor oil blue sapphire to my jeweler. She told me that the center stone was not a sapphire but was in fact onyx. My jewelry also pointed out that the carat weights claimed on the certification card were not accurate and that the stones and diamonds were 14 carats instead of 16 carats. She showed me under magnification that all of the small diamonds were cracked inside and were junk quality. She weighed the ring for me and showed me that the gold weight was also not consistent with the amount Tina Jewelry was claiming. This dishonest Ebay seller is ripping customers off in every way they can, False valuations, misrepresented stones, junk diamonds, misrepresented gold weight, false advertising with photos of real jewelry and outrageous shipping charges.

I see that others have also been victomized by this same company. I should have known better. Paid $306.00 for the ring, $32.00 shipping and handling, return shipping with insurance was over $60.00. No refund, no response. I tried calling but no one speaks english.

Please contact me if you have been victomized by Tina Jewelry Co. Ltd.

Send your item# and PayPal transaction ID!

AUTHOR: Management - (Thailand)

POSTED: Saturday, October 13, 2007

Hi Beverly of Miami Florida,

We would like to challenge you personally to send all the details of your alleged transactions with us. We need the item # of your ring as well as your payment transaction ID via PayPal.

This is one of the solid evidence that we can prove that YOU ARE NOT OUR CUSTOMER. You are just fabricating all this negative accusations with our factory.

Well, we ONLY sell AUTHENTIC GEMSTONES and DIAMONDS and made by 14K SOLID GOLD. Customer will receive the exact items that we advertised and post in our two auctions.

Our Sapphire ring comes from Authentic Natural Sapphire and not Onyx. To prove to you, we send the said item in one of the well-known gem laboratory in Thailand which is Tokyo Gem Lab. If you are still in doubt you can contact us directly and we can give you their certification.

We do not charge any 15% restocking fee of the item. Our refund is 100% guaranteed.

We filed a legal assistance with USA Embassy in Thailand and eBay USA concerning with this very malicious subject. They are doing their best to expedite their investigations.

Finally, we know that all eBayers are very sharp to analyze that all of our products are exactly the same with one of the leading internet jewelry store. Tina Jewelry Co., Ltd. used to manufacture exclusively with them for almost 2 and half years. Our factory was the one shipping their merchandise directly to their respective customers. Before this issue, we did not encounter any of these complains. WHY NOW?

I think it will be better if we will just concentrate ourselves to be more productive. I know that criticism is good whether positive or negative. However, WE HAD ENOUGH!

Probable high retail

AUTHOR: Rita - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 11, 2007

Nick, I'd like a yes or a no to this question...

Do you believe that every item that you or your wife bought from tina-jewelry is worth the suggested retail value that they offered?

Nick, another yes or no please... Do you believe that any item that you or your wife bought from tina-jewelry is worth even half of their suggested retail value that was offered?
Have you had any of it appraised?

This is what tina-jewelry says about the suggested retail value...
The suggested retail price is not a suggestion of purchase or an assurance that the judgment will effect in a sale at that price.
It is for the customer's exclusive use for the intention of signifying the probable high retail proxy value to acquire insurance coverage.

Note the word (probable) which means...supported by evidence strong enough to establish presumption but not proof.

Nick, you and your wife may very well be happy with your purchases however, I believe that you're praising a seller that uses their
suggested retail value as a means of confusing some buyers into thinking that the suggested retail value means something, when all
it really means is a number tossed into the mix to make a potential buyer think that they would get a deal of a lifetime.

The words (probable high retail) that is used in their suggested retail value description is just another way of saying...We can't prove that it is or isn't high retail.

Now as low as their items sell for; a fraction of their suggested retail value, it's pretty clear that one will not be getting high end retail.

In Defense of Topjemsjewelry, TinaJewelry, Tina Jewe

AUTHOR: Nick T. - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 09, 2007

I have a family of 6 living in Pennsylvania, USA. I have used the internet, in part, for shopping at home since 1999. I have used Ebay for the past 4 years. My wife loves jewelry and shops frequently on line, especially on Ebay. In early August of this year, while shopping for a present for her birthday, ( Aug. 16th ), I found Tina Jewe on Ebay. I was amazed at the pictures, the descriptions and their pricing. I purchased peridot ear rings ( her birth stone ) and a sapphire ring with tiny diamonds surrounding it. I didn't plan on buying two items like this, but the pricing was unbelievably low. My wife loved them !!

Since then she has purchased over 15 different pieces of Tina Jewe jewelry. Some for herself and some as gifts for her family. The quality, the beauty of the stones and value has been second to none. Each time we received our merchandise on time and packaged properly. I have recommended this site to my friends.

I have not encountered a problem with any of the auctions that were won. I can only believe that a company that has been this dependable with product and shipping, would do the same with returns or replacments if necessary.

Sincerely,

Nick T.

Unbelievable deal is the key

AUTHOR: Rita - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 09, 2007

If this report is legit, I cannot fathom why anyone would be so gullible as to believe that they would be getting a $13,725.00 sapphire and diamond ring for the price of next to nothing.

Now, I'm horrid with math but I don't think that $306.00 would hardly cover the tax.

Moreover, why would someone that buys and sells jewelry, fall prey to such an unbelievable deal as this. I could see something like this happening to a confused elderly person but not to someone reasonably sound of mind.

A $13,725.00 sapphire and diamond ring for the price of $306.00 not only looks too good to be true; It screams run, run far, far away.

I also have trouble believing this whole report without more evidence such as the Item number of your purchase and also a photograph of the ring that you ended up getting.

Without either of these two thing, I think that anyone that reads your report here should be suspect of its legitimacy.

Lastly, if there is a shred of truth to your report, it might be wise if you stayed away from e-bay all together.

Supposed Tina Jewelry Co Ltd (ebay id tina-jewelry topgemsjewelry)Owner Responds without mentioning name.

AUTHOR: Advocate - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, October 08, 2007

It is amazing that Tina Jewelry Co Ltd (ebay user id tina-jewelry topgemsjewelry) will respond to the rip off report, but will not respond to customer's emails. I also find it interesting that the supposed "owner" of tina-jewelry is responding but neglects to mention his/her name, title or contact information. This is just a transparent attempt to keep this fraud running as long as possible before it is shut down. Perhaps tina-jewelry is unaware that defrauding U.S. customers with false information, fake photos, misrepresented stones, diamonds, gold and 100% bogus certifications is illegal.
