I went to talk to a company on the side of the road on highway 53 outside of Huntsville Alabama. The name of the company was Tornado Masters of Alabama. They had a pretty showroom, and a old guy who looked like a dimestore cowboy named Les Holt began to tell me about the storm shelters they manufactured and installed. After listening to him tell me about himself for about 30 minutes he finally told me about the shelters and I bought one. He told me he needed all the money in advance because it was custom ordered. I gave him a check for 5995.00 to make and install the shelter. To this day after a year I have still not received the shelter. After a hundred or so calls he told me he was filing bankruptcy so do what I have to do. He basically threatened me and I got nothing for my money. I later discovered that all he had told me about the shelter was a lie. It had never been tested at Texas Tech as I was told. It really had never been tested anywhere, and he had not gotton anything to say it would withstand any storm, even if I would have received my unit. After speaking with others in the area I have learned that this is common place for Les Holt and Tornado Masters. Many others have been bamboozled by this clown. He claims to be the owner, but the company is owned by Grady Holt his 85 year old father. That is how he protects himself. All's I can say is do not do business with these thieves. Les Holt, Grady Holt, Tornado Masters, or what ever they really are will take your money and give you nothing for it.

We too, have been conned by Les & Grady Holt at Tornado Masters. We are in a legal matter with them right now and cannot say too much, but would love to get in touch with you. There are so many people in the area that have been scammed by these men from this business and past businesses for 20+ years now. A background check on Les Holt (Leslie Holt, Lester Holt, L.A. Holt- he has been charged under all these names with his SS#) results in several cases where he has been sued and has hundreds of thousands of dollars in judgments placed on him and has also been in court for theft by deception six times. This is why he is not "the owner" and his dad protects him.
He has also been caught doing two commercial jobs, a church and a daycare, where he was charged and fined for building without a license and permit. He now continues his deceptive business practices on weekends so he cannot be caught by the 9-5 inspectors. He is now preying on the government housing managers to work a deal with them on shelters.
He is not filing bankruptcy anymore because he lied on the stand under oath about his financial affairs. He was caught committing perjury, destroying documents, lying about income and providing fraudulent documents. The judge dismissed his petition, not allowing him relief through bankruptcy.

Together we can stop these men from stealing from anyone else and in our case, destroying our financial future by lies and theft. Do not be conned by these individuals. Les Holt is a 2x felon out of Texas for construction fraud cases and has a closet full of deceptive practices. His trail begins in Texas, Florida and then, Alabama. Past businesses in Huntsville have been Rocket City Woodworks, H & H Construction and now, Tornado Masters of Alabama.
Why he still out in the public is beyond us.
