I will never own, nor recommend another Toshiba product as long as I live.
On Apri 4, 2015, I bought my wife a new computer. She wanted one of the tablets so she could carry it around easier than her current laptop. I agreed, and we went to Best Buy to pick one out. After looking at several, I chose the Toshiba Click 2, both for price ($449), and reliability. We have had several Toshiba laptops, most recently a Satellite L355 prior to this one t...hat lasted 2 years.
So, this tablet was nice to start with, but in early July, that all fell apart.....literally. Screws started falling out of it, and soon, the screen just fell off all together. 4 months, and it was in a pile of rubble. When this all happened, the tablet refused to boot up. I should be able to go to the recovery partition and restore the tablet, but you need a keyboard for that. I tried a USB keyboard, but it did not work.
I submitted an online form to Toshiba, and got nothing back for a month. I finally called them. To my surprise, "falling apart" is not considered a workmanship or material defect. I was told that I could ship it back to their repair depot, and be charged to fix it. The best part of the whole conversation was when I reached the "supervisor". He/She (couldn't tell) said that if it was a workmanship issue, it would have happened within 30 days, and since screws fell out, and I didn't not know where they were, that was an "accident" claim....the same as if I accidentally dropped it out of a 3rd floor window.
Beware or crappy customer service. If you buy something, and it falls apart.....don't look to them, they will just blame you!
Now, less than 5 months after purchase, I have a tablet that does not work and is laying in pieces. I could have saved $449 and scooped up some cow dung.....the work about as well!
