Total Protect Home Services, Inc. Overcharges and never pays the total amount for service Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

I am very unhappy with this company.  I've been with it for 7 years now and all I get is higher deductible costs and higher monthly payments. I'm also dissatisfied with the fact that when I call I get a recording or I have to wait at least 15 minutes to speak to a human being.  I have gotten very frustrated with the fact that eveytime I've used this company, there has always been an unexpected, additional cost on top of the $75.00 deductible - it never fails.  Even though I'm supposed to have a $10,000 limit and I've never gotten anywhere near that amount, I still have to pay more whenever a repairman walks into my house.  My water heater broke the day before Memorial Day and when I called, all I got was a recording to make a claim.  I got a call and was given a claim number and I was told a plumbing company would be contacted so they could arrange a time to come.  I waited several hours without any reply, so I called the plumbing company and I was told they didn't get any calls from Total Protect about my problem and couldn't send anyone over.  I tried to call Total Protect the next day and I got a recording saying it was closed for the holiday, even though it's supposed to give 24/7 protection.  It was a holiday weekend and they couldn't come on Monday, so they showed up on Tuesday.  I went two days without hot water.  When they did come, I was told I needed a new water heater and was told Total Protect was only going to pay $500.00.  I had to pay an additional $550.00 out of my own pocket to cover the labor, permts, additional add-ons and deductible.  I would like to cancel it completely, but I would still have to pay off the rest of the year.  I'm truly sick and tired of this company and will never use it again after my contract is up.  My advice is never to use Total Protect unless you want to waste your money.
