The interior materials of the Toyota Highlander Limited are made of CRAP. The car was purchased in Jan '08 with every option offered. In May of '08, the leather seat on the driver's side was being cut from getting into and out of the car. The dealer said they could not do anything and made arrangements for a company rep to see the car. (Each trip is 40 miles each way.)
The factory rep said that the damage was external, i.e. not a manufaturers defect and would not cover anything. We have owned Toyotas since 1977. With 16 years between 2 Toyotas with leather, we have not had this problem.
We consulted a leather company that could replace the damaged leather for $275, and said that we needed to get in and out of the car differently. What a crock! The leather is cheap, the headliner is cheap, and the dash is cheap.
If I would have known that the car would show wear after 4 months, I would have bought a different car from a different manufacturer. If the dealer would have said that they could fix it and would split the cost, I would have said that is fair and paid my half.
I will NEVER but another Toyota. For $275 they lost a long time and loyal customer. How stupid!
P.S. I am planning to trade my 2001 Solara convertible the end of this year. Guess What??? It won't be another Toyota!!

Toyota has been making inferior products for years. It's the fairytail that all Americans have been buying into since they hit our shores. Be a true American and buy DOMESTIC!

the reason for a CHEAP stock price for Toyota in the near future!!!! Their symbol is (tm). Keep checking it as it goes DOWN!!!!!!
Look for a stock price that'll be BELOW $70 per share by early 2009 for Toyota!!

When you are there, don't forget to click on 'AIRBAGS' and read all of them!! YOUR LIFE COULD BE IN DANGER if you have a Toyota and you are in an accident, correct??
If your AIRBAGS don't work, you could be KILLED, right???
