Took my Toyota Sienna for Service today and authorized a few repairs. The before tax charges came to be about $350~ including car detailing of $110 and they added $35~ as Shop Charges to cover incidentals like nuts, bolts, screws, and others. The guy at the counter said it was Wisconsin state Law nonchalantly.
This is complete rip off to me, as 10% on the total bill is too much of a charge. Most parts and accessories come with standard nuts, bolts etc., that one does not need anything else except tools. Tools are not consumables.
This is a big rip off of 10% on all the biling they do.
Toyota of Brookfield by Napleton, you should really STOP this rip off. Anyone doing service in Toyota of Brookfield... be careful! The previous owners Safro Toyota were very reasaonable.

...You can expect ANY kind of price gouging, phoney fees, deception and fraud. THAT is the nature of the chain and that FACT is WELL KNOWN in the business! However...why on earth are you taking your car to a dealer for serice to begin with? I've said so many times it's starting to make my head spin..the fraud and deception which is rampant on the sales floor has flowed into the shop like raw sewage on a downhill street. Find yourself and patronize a good independent shop. You DO NOT need to get non-warranty work done at a dealership! You DO NOT need to get your regular service interval work done at a dealership. If your car is still under factory warranty, the MAGNUSON-MOSS ACT protects you. You can get your regular maintenance work done anywhere and not void the warranty. A good independent shop is usually owned by an older mechanic and his staff is much more experienced than any dealership kids. At an independent shop you will find much better prices without the PHONEY FEES Napleton is known for, much more skilled mechanics and a much higher level of honesty, integrity and customer service. PLEASE...do not ever again use any dealer for service. Ask around and get an independent shop!
