Traderbaker's employees here are horrible. We go there 2-3 weekends a month, and spend $50-100. The whole time we are there, we are followed by employees, and it is very noticable. It is insulting and ridiculous. We always spend a load of money there, buying everything that we want. We go to them, asking for them to get items out of locked display cases for us, for them to hold at the register until we are ready to check out. Why we would spend so much money there all the time only to turn around and steal small dollar items?

I think the employees are so bored and restless that they have turned to smoking meth, which has in turn, made them paranoid and delusional. Don't get started on this flea market if you are after a comfortable and relaxing shopping experience.

And if you do go, don't buy any of that cereal. It is all past the expiration date.

Now the Bakers are in trouble with the city...

AUTHOR: Bryce - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, April 05, 2008

Now this horrible branch of the trash operation known as Traderbaker's is in trouble with the city. Here are some of the concerns:

The Bakers were issued orders to appear personally before the Shelbyville Board of Public Works and Safety two weeks ago to discuss health and safety issues, as well as fire and electrical code violations. They were upset and claimed that city officials should have made better attempts to communicate with them.

"Among other things, there was plastic hanging from the ceiling to the floor, from the front to the rear of the building, which posed a fire danger by interfering with the sprinkler system," she said. "Also, the sprinkler heads were filled and clogged with dust collected over the years, and there was a shortage of required fire extinguishers."

Let's hope they close this deathtrap for awhile and give someone else a chance to snag the booth occupants. If they reopened with some competition in town, these sleazebags would behave a hell of a lot better. And it would be good for the city.
