I placed my order with Truckaddons on April 5. When I checked back two weeks later, the order still was not shipped. Since it was for a third-party product, I asked the sales person to check with their supplier on the shipment status. I also asked whether we could stop/cancel the order without incurring the restocking penalty in case it had not shipped from their supplier. The sales person who spoke to me put me on hold to check with the supplier. Then he told me that it still had not shipped. And because of that, they can cancel my order without the penalties. And if there was any problem with the order, someone would contact me.

I never heard from anybody at Truckaddons, so I assumed my order was cancelled. Much to my surprise, the lights did show up on my doorstep in early May, a full month after I had originally placed an order.

Unfortunately, I did not keep records of my conversation with the sales person. Nor can I recall his name. Had I expected this outcome, I would have done otherwise. Truckaddons did not find any records of this conversation, naturally, even though they do seem to have made records of the other ones.

I have returned the product to Truckaddons and have contacted them (Johnny, ext 1467) several times, trying to resolve the restocking fee issue. But they believe they are not at fault and I should pay it.

Beside the restocking fee dispute, I have another problem with Truckaddons business practices. They charged my credit card the full purchase amount on April 5, 2007, even though the product was not shipped to me until May. I have returned the product on May 29, according to FedEx records. Yet I did not received a refund until I called to inquire on July 2nd, 2007. I used the return authorization number provided to me by Trackaddons. According to Johnny, whoever received the return, failed to make appropriate records.

Record keeping seems be their problem, especially if it is not in their best interest.
