On Friday, October 08, 2010, I was told by Kristina from TranOne that my transmission could be totally repaired and rebuilt for $997.  Prior to being told this amount, I was informed that my transmission had been looked over and that was the total price of everything.  Being that TranOne had contracted the services for the repair with a local auto transmission repair shop in my area, they needed the money to move forward with the repairs.  So I immediately went to my Bank and transferred the *majority* of the funds from my checking account to the account TranOne held with the same bank.  This was supposedly the price of all necessary repairs less  the remaining balance of $106 I would pay when the work was complete.

Unfortunately, I hadn't read the fine print on the contract emailed to me and consequently TranOne had me sign on the dotted line for more than I verbally agreed upon.  The phone conversations between Kristina and I and the verbal agreements made contradicted EVERY word stated in the physical contract I signed and faxed back.

I received a new email from TranOne on Monday, October 11, 2010, (after the transfer cleared my bank account) stating that after further diagnostic testing on my transmission, there was significant hardware damage done and a completely refurbished transmission had to be purchased.  This must have been a mistake because I was told all diagnostic tests were already performed on my transmission and I had already paid for the services & parts to fix it! WRONG! After contacting Kristina back again to see why I was being asked to pay more money, she hit me with the line: "The contract you signed specifically stated..." a bunch of BS!  I would have to pay them an additional $1,233 for them to continue working on my car!?  I was livid! In so many words I told her: SCREW THE CONTRACT!!! YOU TOLD ME THE TESTING WAS COMPLETED AND THE REPAIRS WERE ALL THAT WAS LEFT TO BE DONE!  TranOne took my money knowing that no work had been done to determine the actual repairs necessary and if they fail to provide me with this material, it will further plead my case in court.

Long story short, TranOne got me for $ 893 for no repairs to my car! :-( I canceled the contract  because the total fee for all alleged repairs was a whopping $3,052.03!!!  I'm gearing up to fight this legally to get my money back and get it out there that they take advantage of innocent people that put their trust in them.  I am currently waiting on the recorded phone conversations with TranOne that they said they would provide in order to prove my case...and I'm NOT holding my breathe.  This company IS A SCAM!!!  They are definitely in the business of taking your money no matter what that say to you over the phone.  I am working with my local Police Department's Economic Crime Department as well as the transmission repair shop to get this resolved as quickly as possible and get my car returned to me.  If you are reading this, I hope it is BEFORE and not after TranOne has conned you out of your money!!!

SN: The shop working on my car had never done business with TranOne before and stated they didn't want any bad business and, therefore, would not be working with them ever again.
