We hired this horrible company and signed a contract with this "Keith" who seems to be the same representative for at least 5 others that have been ripped off from him. After telling us and emailing us that he is not a broker and they have their own trucks and drivers and knew how important our possessions were, we decided to go with them because our contract was specific. Their driver in their own truck would pick our things up on the East coast and that same driver and same truck (our things would not be moved except from our East coast home to truck to our west coast home) would deliver our things within 7-10 days. Not only did a driver who did not work for them pick our things up, he picked up 2 days late, forcing us to leave our home to our landlords to see they were picked up by these idiots! Keith at Trans United did not return a call or email from the day it was supposed to be picked up for about 10 days. We had called him multiple times upset about our things being picked up late. our things didn't show up as scheduled and no one was calling us back or emailing us back.


we finally get a hold of the man who picked our things up who says that he no longer had our things because he was assigned to do something else so our things were moved to another truck! After 5 days passed and no one would return our calls or tell us where our things were we speak to a man who lies and says he is Keith's boss. His name is Jefferey and he actually works for a company that TRans United outsourced called Worldwide Transfer. Anyway, he tells me he is Keith's boss and I explain that I am so glad to talk to him, because Keith has been ignoring us. After wasting my breath telling him my story and asking him to give us name of driver who has our things so we could coordinate time, this jerk tells me he is not delivering our things until we give him a fax number so he could fax an amended contract. When I refuse to sign an amended contract and tell him our fax machine is on his d**n truck, and going back and forth with him on text (how professional is he?) I tell him that if our things don't show up that night I would report it all stolen. He replies saying he will overnight me a letter stating our things would be auctioned off to pay them. I file the police report and ignore him. He later sends another text saying he spoke to his attorney (yeah whatever!) who said they would discount what I owe and as long as I agreed to paying their driver cash I could get my things. I ignore him as I already filed police reports and didn't want to deal with him. I also email Keith at TRans United telling him about his boss's rude behavior and FINALLY receive a reply from Keith lying, saying "I'm sorry about my boss's behavior and I will be taking a leave of absence from this company."

That was all on a Saturday. The next day I receive a text saying the truck is in your city and we need a delivery address. That was the first clue I had that jefferey did NOT work for Trans United, because he would have my contract and know where to deliver our things. I ignore him. Monday morning I call Trans United to speak with a boss there and get a Jennifer who says to me that keith works there and his boss is a Cliff not a Jefferey. I leave a message for this boss to call me ASAP after explaining the very long ordeal to Jennifer and she even tells me best way to reach him would be through email. I email Cliff. He doesn't call back that day nor the next day.

A young man appears at our door after 10pm Monday night. He is driving a Ryder truck and says he works for Worldwide Transfer and just picked our things up from a Texas storage facility and got here the night before (so text from Jefferey was a lie that came early Sunday afternoon saying the driver was in town and needed our address). Anyway, this young man has in his hand a handwritten contract with my name and info on it and a signature that is supposed to be mine. I tell him I made no contract with him or his company and wasn't paying him a dime. My husband tells him to come the next day.

Tuesday I am fuming and call Trans United to speak with Cliff and WHO answers the phone??? KEITH himself!!! When I identify myself and start accusing him of lying and being unethical, I am yelling at this point and time, he hangs up on me saying he did not lie and he is just a salesman and he cannot help what the drivers do when they pick up.

My husband gets home at 6pm and calls the driver and they get into it over the phone. My husband tells the driver to bring our things and unload his truck. the details are too long to get into since this is already a very long post. I called the police telling them my husband was about to hurt the driver who had our things we reported stolen over the weekend. After a few units show up and make some calls, the driver is told he must open the truck for us or he will be arrested for felony theft. he opens it but refuses to help unload. WE PAID FOR A FULL SERVICE MOVE TOO! Anyway, we got folks to help us unload our things.

All of our things were in this truck and looked as if it were dumped there. Many of our things were damaged and at least 20 boxes were opened, seemed to have been ransacked through and they even re-taped it using tape we had not originally used! our tape was nowhere on the boxes.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!!! WE WILL BE SUING THEM AND ACTUALLY HAVE FOUND A DOZEN OTHER FOLKS WILLING TO GET ON BOARD AND SHARE THEIR STORIES WITH OUR ATTORNEY AND HELP TESTIFY ABOUT THIS COMPANY'S SHADY PRACTICES!!! I ONLY RATE THEM ONE STAR, BECAUSE THERE IS NO OPTION FOR NO STAR!

Also, I notice the first review shown that is so positive is from a person who also has gone on the complaints board praising Trans United.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were Keith writing these reviews himself!

To the Author:

I agree with much of what you said in your report. I experienced VERY similar behavior from all of the employees you mentioned above when I moved from the Midwest out East. This company is unethical and many of their employees have lied to myself, dodged any emails/phone calls and have no issue with their poor behavior and customer service. One of their ownemployees even told me that the representative who originally set up my move was fired for lying to customers to make a sale.

Their management is just as poor as their sales and customer service representatives. I loved it when they would put me on hold for up to 30 minutes at a time thinking that I would hang up only to find that I would call back moments later. They promised that they were not a brokerage, yet they brokered me out to a company in my city with a horrific and similar reputation to their company. The compayne they brokered my items out to was a nightmare and thought that it was appropriate to yell and swear at a customer and they even told me to shut up when I was calm on the phone and never yelled. They also knowingly brokered me out to a company whose rates were different and did not honor Trans-United's original statement on the contract I signed stating I only had to pay per pound moved and nothing more. I was never informed of this change, and nobody could tell me why my weight and rate mysteriously changed from their company to the company they brokered my items to for my move.

I have been working with a lawyer and have had him see if he can contact any others regarding this moving company to see if there is anything to be done. Please note that this company, Trans-United, Inc. in Miami, FL is also facing a lawsuit from the actual Trans-United, Inc. that is well known in the moving industry. This lawsuit is being filed for trademark infringement, and I have been in contact with the real Trans-United, Inc. to ensure that this company stops mucking up their name as a top moving company in the U.S. In fact, when I called the original Trans-United, Inc, they told me that I was not the only person who had called them regarding this company which is why they were going to file the lawsuit.

I am not a person to wish for a company to go out of business, because I am sure there are people in that office that are good people. In today's economy, I would never wish for someone to lost their job. However, I feel like them going home each night after a long day of getting yelled atby angered customers and knowing that they work for anunethicalcompany that treats their clients terribly and knowingly misleads and lies to them is punishment enough in the long run. I wish that the government would place more restrictions and stricter guidelines for moving companies, because then maybe companies like Trans-United, Inc. in Miami wouldexperience the distress they've added to other people's lives for no reason whatsoever.

Why would you post these lies about a company? The above company mentioned is not even my company. It looks like you have a lot of time on your hands to be filing the nonsense against a company. One of 2 things have happened here, 1.) You are a disgruntled employee that got fired and is looking to right the situation so you feel better about yourself or 2.) You are the customer that reported her stuff stolen so you did not have to pay for the move when the stuff got to your new address. Whatever company did service the job, whoever it was, should have been paid regardless of who they were for driving halfway across the United States to deliver your belongings. It sounds to me like someone was trying to scam a mover out of paying. If this continues, with these lies, rest assured, you will be hearing from my lawyer for slander. God Bless You, and I will pray for you.
